On this episode of Something To Wrestle, Bruce and Conrad look back 15 years at Unforgiven 2005, which took place on September 18, 2005 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! The main event saw John Cena defend the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle. Other notable matchups included Matt Hardy vs. Edge inside a salad steel cage, Ric Flair vs. Carlito for the IC Title, Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Masters, and much more!
Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard is an audio podcast that discusses topics, events, wrestlers and memorable moments through the lens of former WWE executive Bruce Prichard co-hosted by Conrad Thompson.
STW was launched in August 2016 on MLW Radio. The episodes typically range from 2 hours to 4 hours in length, and include discussions about previous WWE pay-per-views and former WWE wrestlers.

This is one of my favorite episodes ever from Conrad. When you and Bruce are both not exhausted and can relax, it's the best recipe for great conversations. Hallarious

I have to say, I have not watched wrestling for at least 25 years maybe wrestlemania 3? Hulk vs. Warrior days and I love this show. During the past 6 months or so since I stumbled across this I watch everyday and put it on at night and half the time fall asleep to crazy ass Bruce and Conrad. Thanks a ton for all the entertainent it has been a huge help and distration during some difficult times.

This show is slowly morphing into "What Happened When?", and I love it. Was expecting some more negative feedback in the comments, because clearly both guys have zero fucks left to give, but I thought this was the most ENTERTAINING episode of STW in quite a while. Thanks a lot, gentleman.

Just to prove Meltzer knows nothing. I live in Canada and yes spike TV is in wayyyy more homes than USA network. (I'm not sure USA was offered at the time even). How ever Canada has its own TV deal. At the time it was TSN and because of that deal whenever Raw was on spike couldn't air Raw on Mondays in Canada they had to show another program.

It wasn’t even that he refused to take a choke slam. During Taker’s return where the roster is running away in different directions, he was the only guy who got out of the ring and walked away slowly with his back turned. You can tell he didn’t give a shit, but they caught it on camera and Taker called him on it at the next show.

Surprised Conrad didn't talk about how stupid the Master Lock was as a finisher, especially the hype of it being an unbreakable hold. It was just a fucking full nelson, with a little bit of extra movement while applying it.

Such a tough time to be a fan back then. By 2005 the magic had been gone for a couple years but this began the era of Vince not listening to the fans. Moving Cena to Raw and making him an unbeatable superman was a mistake which the fans ultimately rejected. By 2006 and onward Cena was getting booed out of the building.

This was a great pay per view. JR is really passionate on the mic. Maybe he thought he had to bring it with them having Coach on the mic. I hate dq finishes for the WWE Championship. Its a crutch used if they want to extend the feud. I wished they did a watch along. Why cause of Ric having fun in the limo? Would have been funny as shit to hear Conrad describing Pop Pop getting lucky in the limo.

Matt Hardy said that before SummerSlam, Vince McMahon personally sat down with him and Edge and made it clear that if they took liberties with each other they would never work in wrestling again. Both men understood and kept it professional, and made something good out of a horrible situation. Cut to today, they've long since buried the hatchet and both men are ultimately better for their experiences.
