4:00 show begins.

I was at XI and also Fan Fest the day before. I met Chris Candido and Tammy walking around Fan Fest, and Chris told me he was about to debut on TV. They had a booth set up for commentary, so a friend and I did it. We got to commentate a 5 minute clip of the ladder match from WM10 with none other than "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray of the Heavenly Bodies, and we got a copy on VHS. Wrestlemania itself was a blast. Beforehand, when we got the tickets, they told us we would get to keep the commemorative chair. What they didn't tell us was that we wouldn't be able to take the actual chairs we were sitting in. At the end of the show we all realized the chairs were zip tied together, and it was pure chaos as everyone attempted to pull the chairs apart. The chairs were actually sent to us and I got mine like a month later. Good times.

I am ashamed of this WM.. because it was absolutely SHIT LOL. The Hartford Civic Center is aproxminley 5 mins away from me. I became a fan in 1991, so I wasn't around during the WWF's first hot period where they were a media darling. I remember my Math teacher turning on ESPN and seeing footage of the Wrestlemania workout. Seeing all these WWF wrestlers on ESPN in their goofy ring outfits was very surreal to me at the time.

Bam Bam should have been a major heel following this Mania. Could have been the biggest heel of 95/96 had they rolled with him.

I recall thinking 'So who the hell is Lawrence Taylor?'. WWE have long suffered from catering to their local American market only. And Jim Ross' attention to details and expansion of the characters is part of what makes Jim Ross the greatest wrestling commentator ever. It's fascinating how disrespectful Bruce has become towards Jim Ross since he signed with AEW. I will agree that Diesel singing christmas carols was horrible.

Razor should have faced The Undertaker. It would have made a lot more sense for Razor to steal the Urn ⚱️ and melt it down into another gold chain he could wear. Imagine the match they could have had. Would have salvaged the ppv.

I love when Bruce ripped JR on putting Kevin Nash out front outside of his Diesel character...man did he hate that idea.

Doesn’t care about Nash’s college basketball, yet fawns over Angle being an Olympian. Both are athletic endeavours, both make you think “wow, this guy is actually good at something I’m not”, but god forbid Bruce let Nash seem human during the cartoon dark ages of WWF, when WCW went the opposite and got him over more by having him be him. Good thing Kurt didn’t join around this time as he would’ve been given a gimmick and “don’t bring up his background pal, he isn’t that anymore”.

I still remember Razor and HHH had the exact same gimmick in WCW and just changed their names ( The Diamond Stuff & Jean-Paul Leveque )and pitched it to Vince.. Those 2 WCW guys seemed to work in WWF without being called " WCW guys " and bring held back since Vince didn't " create " them.

That was my first WrestleMania. In my opinion the worst so far, but let's wait for this year's WM

I think most neutral sports fans loved LT at that time. Of course maybe Eagles, Cowboys, or Redskins fans didn't but everyone else I think thought he was a beast and liked him. So yeah i do agree with Bruce LT was a bigger deal than Rousey. Maybe it Rousey were still undefeated and came to WWE it would have been different. But come on it's LT probably the greatest player in NFL history other than Jerry Rice or Tom Brady

I agree with Bruce on Diesel. Imagine if they had talked about Undertaker's history prior to becoming the Undertaker. "Good old Mark was a college basketball player and football player before he became the grim reaper that we know as the Undertaker"...... pffffffft! That destroys kayfabe completely. Jim Ross could be such a tool sometimes. Fans are interested in the DIESEL character, not Kevin Nash. If he was going to have a history, it should have been a KAYFABE history like being a bouncer, or being a personal bodyguard. Make something up that sounds good and stick with it. In WCW they actually did break kayfabe and started referring to Hulk Hogan as Terry. WCW was dead shortly thereafter.

Wrestlemania 11 was depressing

People hated Shawn but liked his work? Uh...no. I've been rewatching WWF. They were literally shouting Shawn is SHIT on Raw. His matches, nobody cared up to this point. Yet WWF is still on Shawn's dick.

The difference between a wrestlemania fan experience and an NBA fan experience is you have a chance of going home alive at a wrestlemania fan experience and a lot of the kids there actually have both parents with them unlike the NBA fans

Fishbone did not stand up this Wrestlemania. Vince heard their unique rendition of "America the Beautiful" and hated it, so he canceled their performance even though he still paid them. McMahon should've known better. Weird that they were even booked in the first place.

The quality of this show has gone down tremendously......... Bruce is in excuse mode.....I can't say I blame him because he works for WWE.... Just cancel the show and let Conrad build up his other shows more..... My amateur opinion.....

JTT was huge. Obviously, Home Improvement.. But he had also just done Lion King which was a roaring success and a huge market to similar age fans of the WWF.

I doubt STW will actually see this but could we please get a Wrestlemania 14 episode. You guys mentioned doing it in either episode 39 or 86 when covering The Undertaker but we didn’t get it. I searched through the archives many times in case I missed it but I’ve yet to find it. If they didn’t do an episode on it and if there’s fans that wanna get this episode as bad as me let’s get the word out to them. Now is the time with WM season.

It was Kevin Nash as diesel that got the reaction, not the actual diesel character, because when they did the fake diesel character played by someone else it was crapped on straight away and rightly so.

This was an era where if Bret Hart wasn't involved then the fans didn't care.

Absolutely hated this WM. Have always thought it was/is the worst. Probably since i started watching(late 84-early 85) the worst year in wrestling for me.

The only two decent matches on the card was the guns vs Yoko and owen and hbk vs diesel. But in fairness the hbk match wasn't all it could be

Personally I feel Bret Hart had better matches with diesel than Shawn did. Though overall in his later career Shawn def had the best matches in general.

LT was more famous in the 90s than Ronda is in the modern day and that was without social media. No disrespect to Ronda but she had to do UFC, Movies, and WWE to reach her popularly. All LT did was kill quarterbacks and win a super bowl. God forbid he had a Instagram back then.

Here's my re-booking for what WrestleMania 11 should've been, based around the feuds and the storylines that were going on at the time, with the roster we've got: 1.The New Headshrinkers (with Capt. Lou Albano & Afa) vs. The Blu Brothers (with Uncle Zebekiah) [These two teams had a brief feud on a couple episodes of Wrestling Challenge in February and March, so it makes sense for them to get on this card for a quick PPV payday, with the Blu Twins getting the win.] 2.Jeff Jarrett (with The Roadie) vs. Razor Ramon (with The 1-2-3 Kid) for the WWF Intercontinental Championship [We're keeping this match in, and you can still have Razor win by DQ.] 3.Davey Boy Smith & The Smoking Gunns vs. Irwin R. Schyster, King Kong Bundy, & Nikolai Volkoff (with Ted DiBiase) [Just get six guys on the card, and Bulldog and the Gunns get the win when Bulldog pins Volkoff with the running powerslam; Charles Wright still makes his WWF return, but as Papa Shango instead of Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine, and he can still feud with Taker throughout the spring and summer of 1995, culminating in their casket match at SummerSlam that year as Taker vs. Shango instead of Taker vs. Kama; imagine the back-and-forth mind games between these two.] 4.Bull Nakano vs. Alundra Blayze for the WWF Women's Championship [This match was held on Raw the night after, but it would make more sense to have it take place at WrestleMania with Alundra winning back the title; then you can have Bertha Faye make her debut the next night on Raw by attacking Alundra during an interview.] 5.Lex Luger vs. Tatanka (with Ted DiBiase) in a steel cage match [This feud had been building since SummerSlam and Survivor Series in 1994, so the blow-off should happen here; after the match which Luger wins, DiBiase berates Tatanka, who tries to attack him, only for Luger to return to the ring, beat down Tatanka, and shake hands with DiBiase, thus cementing Luger's heel turn so he can feud with Diesel, Shawn, Bret, and Taker.] 6.The 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly vs. Hakushi & Yokozuna (with Jim Cornette & Mr. Fuji) for the WWF Tag-Team Championship [I think Kid and Holly should've had a longer title reign after winning at Royal Rumble 1995, and Hakushi would've also been a suitable partner for Yoko; that way, Kid and Hakushi can exchange high-flying moves, while Holly and Yoko exchange stiff punches, kicks, and chops; we can still have Hakushi and Yoko win the titles here, and then go on to In Your House #1 to defend against the Gunns.] 7.The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (with Ted DiBiase) [Since Taker is feuding with the Million Dollar Corporation, it makes sense for him to battle their crown jewel, who would obviously be Bigelow; obviously Taker would win, but he and Bigelow can still have a decent big man match.] 8.Diesel (with Lawrence Taylor) vs. Shawn Michaels (with Sycho Sid) for the WWF World Championship [Instead of wrestling Bigelow, L.T. can be in Diesel's corner to counter Sid, and Vince gets the celebrity coverage that he wants.] 9.Adam Bomb vs. Kwang (with Harvey Wippleman) [Just a quick toilet break match to cool down the crowd between Diesel/HBK and Bret/Owen, and allow Bomb to get the win so Kwang can disappear off TV and come back as Savio Vega at In Your House #1.] 10.Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (with Bob Backlund) in a No DQ match with Roddy Piper as the guest referee [I know that this match was held on the Raw prior to the PPV, but it should've occurred here; also, I don't have Backlund in a match on this card because his victory over Bret at Survivor Series 1994 was just a chapter in the Bret/Owen feud; the finish could involve Backlund trying to interfere on behalf of Owen, only for Piper (who would be the Old Generation guy sticking up for the New Generation) to knock Backlund the holy hell out, and Bret manages to make Owen submit to the Sharpshooter, thus bringing an end to their year-long feud.]

Finally WM 21. Did you guys do WM 2000 yet? I don't recall that one.
