blokette deserves more attention! I'm a Brazilian teen and I can see this aesthetic working so well here during spring or summer, the CBF shirts with jean skirts and "Havaianas" (Brazilian flip flop brand), the football shirts with girly shoes...it's so cute!! It's really just a shame that, like most popular aesthetics, it will probably be made into something elitist

as a former "tomboy" in my teens and a y2k lover in my mid 20s i've been able to incorpore this style sooo smoothly into my wardrobe and its been my summer go-to vibe! the video was super fun to watch/listen to such as informative! great analysis, subscribing asap fellow fashion folk

Personally I’m actually a huge fan of this aesthetic, but I do think some aspects of it have become super trendy. The only two things I’d really wanna get is some more jerseys (I’ve been getting into soccer anyway, and I like soccer jerseys WAYYYYY more than other sports jerseys) and just a pair of Mexico 66 (esp since my dad grew up with those shoes). I think it’s interesting that this became a huge aesthetic even tho as you said, it’s pretty simple. But I also think that’s what makes it fun bc it’s possible for everyone to get it. Also, as someone who’s liked coquette but didn’t really enjoy some of the hyperfeminine aspects, this is literally perfect for my gender expression

Your intros...LOVE your intros. Love your new background! "Being purposely dissonant", YEAH! I thought I'm going to like his look. By the end I'm not sure I like it. It seems to me I see this look ALL THE TIME in the States. I'm a huge NBA fan and I see this look courtside and among female fans. "Baller Hoes" are real and a real look. We're a less class stratified society than Mother England and I feel like the working class appropriation crit does not travel across the pond frictionless. Americans are also of course MUCH MORE casual than other peoples. In the many, many examples you showed I don't see stark "purposely dissonant." You said in the beginning, "shoes are very important in this aesthetic" so I expected, I don't know, fashion heels with a Man City shirt. You see that sometimes, a checkered, tied top and cut-off shorts with fashion heels, but, and maybe I missed it, I saw track shoes, running shoes, Air Jordans. There was an absence of what I had in mind would be obviously "dissonant." So, I don't know about this look but I am full 100 enthusiastic about this vid! THUMBS UP!

Hi, your video popped up on my main page today and after looking at your channel I can't tell how excited I am to go through all your videos. I'm one of those girls who couldn't find their aesthetic and been wearing the same clothes for god knows how long.. but my main issue is even though I watch these videos I can never tell which one would suit me.
