Hi Kate! Been meaning to tell you how much this video meant to me. I've been going through my own life changes, mostly all good, but still a new path and I had been feeling a bit down about some people I had to leave behind. Then i watched your video, and went into my closet and re- organized everything by color, and also matched all the hanger styles with each color grouping. The change was amazing! It suddenly gave me more room in my closet, and my clothes now look fresher, more accessible, and just overall quite nice. I feel like im now walking into some fancy boutique instead of just my closet. And this simple act helped me to feel more optimistic and excited about moving forward into new territory. So thank you so much. Your video was exactly what I needed at this moment in time. 💛
Hi Amy! I love your message so much. I am so glad to hear that it helped you in more ways than one and also love the idea of our closets serving as little boutiques. You’re right, it keeps everything looking and feeling fresh and exciting and new. Praying for all the best as you head into this new territory in your life, and I hope that it serves as an exciting adventure for you! xx
Thank you for the kind reminder of how to specifically be more mindful when shopping. Something I've noticed for my own situation is to purchase for how I dress now. I used to work outside the home and am so drawn to dresses, however, I don't wear dresses as much anymore. I recently invested in a color analysis session (very fun) which was also practical. When shopping now I focus on colors that look best on me that I will be much more likely to actually wear.
I cleaned out my closet a few months ago and I donated 13 bags of clothes that I had not worn in years. I was so happy to make room in my closet for what I actually wear.
Great tips! I have a closet full of clothes but I wear the same ones! Getting 2 subscription boxes probably doesn’t help. I might cancel one. What you said makes sense. Save money and buy a piece that costs a little more. I hope you and your husband are enjoying your new jobs.
@@KateBenz I’m still getting Stitchfix because they carry petite sizes. I’m also getting Short Story Box. I’m 5’0” so I defintely need petites. Lol! I’ve started alternating boxes so I don’t get 2 each month. I hate that the clothes is so expensive though. Not many stores carry petites so I have to pay the higher prices on many items.
@@KateBenz I have a beneficial suggestion for your RU-vid channel. As a search engine I use Duck Duck Go. I can either watch videos on RU-vid or through Duck Duck Go. If I watch through Duck Duck Go there’s no way to show I’m a viewer. No “like” or “dislike” option. Some RU-vidrs turn off the option on how to view their videos. I know you want RU-vid to see how many viewers are watching. Is there a way to turn off being able to watch except on RU-vid? I hope this makes sense to you.
@KateBenz I know!!! I've done that so much I finally just jeep stuff because I know I'll want it at some point. I almost got rid of some cute cropped camo pants that I love, glad I didn't because camo is coming back!
I had a horrible thing happen. I gained 60 lbs on prednisolone. I lost most of it and really don't want to weigh between 89-103 again. But I am still on Prednisone and I had a curated "fat ' wardrobe that worked for me, plus I unfortunately bought clothes while losing weight. So now I am afraid to get rid of them. I used to design clothes for some major brands and I have a lot of stuff I designed too and have 4 bulging closets. I'm getting rid of some of it. But hate donating things resellers will just sell. I am looking to find somewhere that will give them to someone in need, at least the work wear and casual things.
