Hi sweetie I sent you email did you get it. I started changing my closet too just linen cotton and cashmere, I purchased 2 from the Nordstrom sale from your video. We found out the transplant will be in mid September now…. So I purchased the 4 pair of the yoga pants with wide legs I can wear my booties with or sneakers. I will be in the hospital room with him for 3 weeks. So that’s why I choose the pants and they have pockets for my sell phone. We will be in isolation. Your thoughts ?

Tried to get vacation approved to experience the fall season but that will never happen as I work in the education system back here and that is the middle of the school term. Hi I am making this comment about half way through the video. I still need to finish the video. Just want to say I also live extremely remotely. It’s hard for me to find fashion that makes me look curated, professional, clean, and creative. Living remotely is extremely beautiful… and also difficult when it comes to shopping and finding clothes that fit. Yes, that fit. I’m also petite so I need to trust the brand, quality is a major deal, and price. Same with me. I don’t spend like crazy. I love to work and bring in income but I am careful with what I bring home. Keep going with your videos. Launching anything off the ground is difficult. As a business owner myself, I cry every now and then until I learned it will always be hard. Never will get easier. So keep going, ask yourself what your why is? Your why behind the camera matters.
Hi Kate! Been meaning to tell you how much this video meant to me. I've been going through my own life changes, mostly all good, but still a new path and I had been feeling a bit down about some people I had to leave behind. Then i watched your video, and went into my closet and re- organized everything by color, and also matched all the hanger styles with each color grouping. The change was amazing! It suddenly gave me more room in my closet, and my clothes now look fresher, more accessible, and just overall quite nice. I feel like im now walking into some fancy boutique instead of just my closet. And this simple act helped me to feel more optimistic and excited about moving forward into new territory. So thank you so much. Your video was exactly what I needed at this moment in time. 💛

I actually like to iron clothes. I hang to dry and then try to iron when still slightly damp. I know this requires a lot of time which most people don’t have.
Hi Kate, I would never leave the house with something wrinkled, not even a tee shirt. I don’t really mind ironing. I have some really good tops that I hand wash and they will last longer if you don’t put them in the washer.
Hopefully you and your husband are doing well with all the transitions. Beautiful classic pics, just no longer need to buy anything, but great ones. I have a 100 wool coat and a great fitted leather jacket that I have had for years, but I have to admit that the last trench I bought was from Banana Republic in Italian linen. Still a good one.

As for the house, it's a bittersweet transition, but relocating from the mountains is essential for his well-being. The snow didn’t stop until June this year, and managing the snow plow has become too burdensome. I recently applied to a senior citizen apartment village and received a call today about a two-bedroom unit-what a blessing! The apartment is well-suited with features like bathroom bars, shower seats, and large walk-in showers. With his stem cell transplant scheduled in Portland, Oregon (about a five-hour drive from our current location) in three months, the timing for this move is ideal. Post-transplant, we will need to stay in the hospital for seven days. During this period, he will be isolated, and I will be on a small cot in the room with strict infection control measures. Following the hospital stay, we will be placed in special housing next to the hospital for daily visits for three weeks. If all goes well, we will have the apartment to return to, which will greatly aid in his aftercare, including showering him, managing his appointments, and supporting his recovery. With a team of ten doctors involved, it’s a considerable effort, but I am remaining positive and strong. However, I must admit that the process has been overwhelming, and I finally broke down today, feeling the weight of everything on my shoulders. I did not plan on making any purchases other than my yearly purchase of bras. However, I did end up getting the Coach Hutton Box bag. Looked very Chanel boy bag to me. I typically carry crossbody bags. I have a few Coach bags and I love them all. ❤. I thought I had scored the Farm Rio blouse but later got an email that my order was canceled. 😭
Oh no! Did the Farm Rio blouse sell out before they could ship it to you? I vaguely remember something similar happening to me either last year or the year prior during the Anniversary Sale. I imagine their system gets totally fried with all of the purchasing they inspire!! xx
I agree with investment pieces. What a great way to save some big $$$$. I’m so minimal about all I wear and have that it’s worth it to me to invest in like one or two things that last forever. I have 4 coach bags and a fossil and one Kate spade and one Vince camuto. All 100% leather and they haven’t begun to show age yet. And the pair of flat riding leather boots I have I bought 10 years ago and they literally have 2 nicks on the tip and the shoe doctor will fix them for me like new. Hope all is well with you Kate. Thank you for the kind reminder of how to specifically be more mindful when shopping. Something I've noticed for my own situation is to purchase for how I dress now. I used to work outside the home and am so drawn to dresses, however, I don't wear dresses as much anymore. I recently invested in a color analysis session (very fun) which was also practical. When shopping now I focus on colors that look best on me that I will be much more likely to actually wear.
I had a horrible thing happen. I gained 60 lbs on prednisolone. I lost most of it and really don't want to weigh between 89-103 again. But I am still on Prednisone and I had a curated "fat ' wardrobe that worked for me, plus I unfortunately bought clothes while losing weight. So now I am afraid to get rid of them. I used to design clothes for some major brands and I have a lot of stuff I designed too and have 4 bulging closets. I'm getting rid of some of it. But hate donating things resellers will just sell. I am looking to find somewhere that will give them to someone in need, at least the work wear and casual things.
