This video is about HOW TO LOOK CUTE AND STAY WARM THIS FALL / WINTER. In this video I talk about the four things to consider when dressing this fall and winter season. I discuss the elements that are important in creating a strong and cohesive look that helps you not only look good but also keeps you warm. I also take you on a trip to COS to look for my dream coat and we stop by Anthropolgie. We take a look at some Sephora sale picks and find some new products. Weight gain prevents us from being true to ourselves. I've been there, it's uncomfortable, it makes us Self-conscious. But thank you for reminding us how to be true to us. I’ve always loved the look of Dorothy Dandrige even as a teenager. She’s all over my Pinterest board! I get pretty annoyed when I see the T-shirts with Marilyn but never Dorothy ! Since I retired, my style has blossomed because I don't have to present a certain persona to corporate america! I did that well because I love all types of fashion but now I can really indulge! Hi Shukura, Girl, you have talked me into getting a sweater vest. I have been resisting. Lol. I feel like my style has been in transition this year because I have invested in more timeless silhouettes lately, and swapped out many pieces that were no longer working. My 3 words are simple, timeless and comfortable. I want to look good but I also want to feel good in my clothing -- stop wearing things that were ill-fitting, shoes that hurt my feet, etc. And I plan to continue this transition into 2024.

I'm a little late commenting on this video. I just happen to run across this video and absolutely loved it. I had an "ah ha" moment watching it. I have not been dressing the style that I love. Sure, my gigantic wardrobe is cute. But I adore the styles from decades ago when women dressed so classy/elegant/lady-like and were so well groomed. Love the whole video but especially the last segment! I could so relate to the reasons why for me in part was weight gain and the second was I like expensive things and don't always want a dupe or something similar. I want the thing. My 3 words are feminine , glamorous, and refined. I don’t like androgynous looks for me, I like you like to feel glamorous and refined because I don’t feel comfortable being too casual or dressed down. I struggled to figure out if my third word should be feminine or sensual. I love dresses , pink , lace etc... However when I examined the kind of dresses I loved , how I wear pink, where the lace was placed etc...and I realized that I needed to rethink. 🤔 Glamourous is the only word I havent waivered on lol! This was a great video and I totally relate with the weight gain. I think my style words are classic chic, fun/glam. My favorite music is r&b, and housemusic Not sure what clothing style that makes me. I’m 60 so I’ve heard al kinds of music. I would love to know the process of match favorite music with my style. The fashion girls look nice, but o one walks around in NYC looking like that. Finally I agree people dress better in Milan than Paris and very inspiring.

I read an article the other day that said that the average women gained about thirty pounds since the start of the pandemic. I feel like so many of us can relate to the feelings that come with a shift in weight. I lke the fun/glam combo! I never considred that. I can see how that could work! The "fun" aspect makes sense with house music being one of your favorite types of music! I will talk more about the music/style pairing in the next video.I love the fashion girls. You described yourself exactly how I picture you! Very glamorous the pictures towards end describes you perfectly. My style is : Classic Glamorous Edgy I’m finally finding my sense of style. I’m happy you showed the photos of the influencers we tend to watch. As much as I love their style , I can’t realistically wear half of those clothes( I admire it on them ) as you do but it’s not my style. Finding your style could take years. Hey freind! We have glamorous and classic in common! I wish I could pull of edgy! I've treid so many times but fail miserably! 😩 I found myself shopping for things that looked good on influencers but did not work in my normal life. My goal is to be fashionable but also have it work for my lifestyle. I went through my closet the day and found a dress I forgot all about! November is in two days and I'm STRONGLY considering putting up my tree! I want my decorations up as long as possible lol! The Sephora sales get overwhelming. @@simplykura Put that tree up sis 😉it’s too much work to have it up for only 4-5 weeks. I agree I have stopped purchasing to buy clothes, bags , etc that currently don’t fit my current lifestyle. It’s just a waste of money hanging in the closet and never using it. We both seem to be going through the same process of finding our personal style. I think we’re doing a great job 💕

This year I spent some time investing in myself and it was for my mental and physical health. I lost weight and repaired my soul. I am still working on both, and what I noticed is that my personal style died. I was stuck in a comfort zone and it was just blah. With the weight shift and mental stability, I see all the things that my heart desires, but I am not a "fashion girl" but I have fashion girl-picked looks. I am struggling to find the three words that define my style. I don't want to look like a high-end diva but I definitely don't want the soccer mom look either. You caregiving me thoughts of who I am evolving into! I want a happy closet.

About the brand Sol de Janeiro, I’m Brazilian but I have never seen those products when I visit my city, Rio de Janeiro. Are they American with a Portuguese name? I’m sorry for not being helpful on this. My words are lost, clumsy and learning. When I was young ( I’m on my 50s now) I used to be the t-shirt, sneakers and jeans kind of girl and everything looked good. Unfortunately now it’s the opposite. I blame aging.😅
