At my high school in Alabama we called mambo “southern funk “ and Joe Friday “P.O.P” idk why but I’m glad to know the real names

I played all these in new orleans bands these cadences are legendary

@anonymousowa1 they are practice drums...They dont strap up game drums till its time to march to the stadium

Ok I'm the fall 2004 cymbal section leader for The U. Tango was not played in this clip. The second cadence was perculator.

Who authored that first cadence Mambo? I think they've been playing that one since the 70's and still funk'n grooves.

Why are they only using the amount they normally bring when they are traveling (8 snares, 4 tenors, 4 bass and 8 cymbals)?

Tango start off with the cymbals choking,then the tenors come in plucking.

we played all these cadences in high school at Huntington 97-2001....SU has the best section in the SWAC...they funk trains suck tho, thats where Grambling kill them at...

What kind of drums are the practice drums and the performance drums? I know they are 13' but that's it

SU 8 snare Drums sound Like 1crisp snare Now thats nowing how to play together with Dynamics !!!! Funk Factory Dont change your traditional Style because PV got all this other schools wanting to be Corp Style Drummer/ all they can do is just stand up and play and move like Boring Corp Style /Percussionist"Wow!
