thank you someone else sees that besides me SU's "drum section" is an embarassment to the damn swac. They just flat out suck I mean really they hide behind the fact that their band is pretty good so they automatically think that their "drumsection" is good too. When in reality most of their shit sounds the damn same.
@MrSaints9 Can you even spell Rudiments ??? All I hear in most of SU Cadence are single stroke/double stroke rolls with accents, a few parididdles, a flamacue here & there, and 1 swiss army Triplett
@fantasymodel313 dude go look at the 40 basic rudients. the single stroke is a rudiment as well as the double stroke roll. also those rolls and accents you heard are probably fifteen stroke rolls, nine stroke rolls & five stoke rolls which all end with accents. just becuase there were know hybrid rudiments being played doesnt mean there werent any rudiments being played at all. like i said before go look at the forty basic rudiments.
Personally I think Funk Train was cleaner. Yes, I am from Texas Southern, but I'm a trombone player so I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to percussion battles
Did you even see the video that we are seeing the band was probably good but there percussion line got the ass Handed. TSU had a better routine than southern. And the sound was much more cleaner and we were listening from across the field.
Every cadence SU played sounded like a bunch of little kids bangin on some toy drums, you couldnt even catch a rhythm to bob your head to. TSU is the shit!!!
