Trickiest part is the 400m~600m, because he saved himself for the last lap mentally which slowed him down. Don't do that, maintain speed in the 400m~500m and start accelerating in the 500m~600m, you should hit the 600m~900m at full force and grind the last 100m (like you see him doing) focusing on maintaining technique and foot landing/force projected to the ground (tip of the toes in this part to counter hill striking due to tired muscles). My two cents for anyone reading this.

"Sub 3:00" really undersold this video. I thought his first 200m split was way too fast and was waiting for him to blow up but only the middle split took a slight drop... guy looked at his tone at 600m and visibly started his final 400m kick. I only dream of this speed. I get close to 3:00/km pace on a 200m/250m/300m interval but usually don't quite hit it.

annihilationHaven sub 2:20 is closing in on World record times. Anything under 2:30 is pretty quick. I ran 2:41 as a 14 year old and just recently ran a 2:25 as an 18 year old. I doubt you could have ran sub 2:20 since that’s faster than almost all D1 collegiate runners
@4everkokonut

Gaining one second at those speeds is a challenge. I don't want to drag you down, but 2:20 is a whole different game than 2:38.

Walk on your heels and do toe raises it’s a good stretch for your shins, I don’t guarantee it would get rid of it but it will help
@ryancollins3396
@ryancollins3396 5 лет назад
Your shins are directly linked to your calf muscle, however there are three main muscles that make up your calf, its not just one big one. Target stretching the lower part of it as well as the "traditional" part. Will help reduce shin pain quite a lot for most people.

@@SpeedSecrets I run for my local club we have 3 amazing coaches that despite not having an amazing amount resources to play whit manage to raise some national champions in the past 6 years, and some of them compete internationally. In the past 2 years it's been more complicated because 1 of them was recruited to be a coach in Sporting Club Portugal (and he took alongside him some international and national level athletes), the other married, and the final is already old to manage hundreds of "normal" athletes + over 10 other national level ones. So right now I'm being coached by a fellow athlete that has a level 2 coaching degree he just took, it's not the best choice but he was one of the few guys I always thought I could never beat no matter how much I could try, he was basically a idol to me, but now I can run whit him LMAO. Besides that for time to time the coach that coaching in Sporting brings his news athletes and previous ones to joint sessions or brings me and some others to high performance center in Lisbon for sometime, since he has permissions. Last year would probably be an amazing year for me if I didn't have to stop because of my heart. Yes. 6 months without training doing exams 24/7, I missed the whole competition period without doing anything. But since 2 months ago I was given free pass to train hardcore again, I'm still not training twice a day, but in a month or two I will, and I'm gonna train harder than ever! I want to see if I can compete against that new beast... Jakob, I don't expect to have any possibility of getting close to him, but if I could run on the same track as the possible future best white runner... I would be very pleased.

Oh wow. Hope your health is good and doesn't cause any problems! The most important thing is to keep enjoying your training,keep doing what works and stay injury free. It's great to have the benefit of the best facilities and training techniques etc but not essential. Good coach, good team mates and dedication (and talent) will get you where you need to be! Good luck!
