hell yes!! bri is my close friend and seeing you two talk fueling is THE BEST. we need to keep changing the narrative for female ultra runners. as someone who's been dealing with RED-s and unlearning SO much of the nutrition culture for women, we NEED to fuel big to run big! LOVE this.

I love this! Two women eating and laughing and talking about food after an awesome run. More importantly, two women ultra runners not afraid to eat or admit that they're not afraid to eat. Wish there were more of such content out there. So yay to you both!!

Two ultra marathon queens dropping some nutrition truth bombs...YES! I appreciate the knowledge and the frank and open discussion, thank you! As the resident non-runner on the channel (road cyclist), I can attest that the nutrition principles and advise does absolutely cross-over between sports! Your experience mirrors my own experiences. As much as I enjoy planning my routes, I now know that planning the nutrition for the ride is equally important. Anytime you get beyond 60 minutes, fueling during the workout becomes a thing. Perhaps the best advice is to experiment! Try different types of foods, different methods of timing, solids vs. liquids vs. gels, etc. The trend is absolutely towards more calories/grams per hour, however, you have to find what is right for you! You might perform great on 50 gm/carbs/hr where another person may be at 150. Your channel continues to be pure gold, no fake hype, no fluff, just consistently valuable content! Thank you Viv!!

You two are amazing!! Keep preaching that eating lots is the way to excel at this sport! I still find myself underfueling on and after runs. Getting into the habit of eating on the run and supplementing (with ice cream for example) is so important! Thank you!

Beautiful run, and great talk after! I LOVE that you brag about food. We've had too many decades of women encouraging each other to starve ourselves to have skinny, weak little bodies. I love food, and I want a stong body for epic adventures. Did you win that crown on the hill?
