Can't believe it 10 years in the making. The series had many ups and it's had its downs along the way many of us survived While others fell off now we get to see a new era... I really hope it does well!!

Interestingly enough despite his height,yu-yu is actually the second oldest protagonist at the start of his own series next to shinemon

And the characters looks great, none of them have overstyled hair

Just seeing characters actually using card sleeves already makes this a very interesting TCG anime. Also, the story looks to be good and of course, animation is nice.

My first ever exposure to Vanguard and it's thanks to me finding out that Roselia's Zeal of Proud will be the OP for this anime

10 years ago, we have the OG protagonist Aichi who looks like a girl, people actually thought he will be the heroine of the story. Now, 10 years later, our MC straights up crossdresses as a girl.

Ok this new Cardfight is absolute fire. The thing i like the most about this episode is that, unlike the other series (which i did watch and enjoy btw), it first focuses on the characters, with the card game taking a step back, mostly looking like random things happening from an outsider's perspective, just like the main character. It definitely makes it look less like a toy commercial and more like a genuinely good anime. Pretty sure i don't need to mention that the art and animation is simply beautiful, so i'm here for all of this.

After watching this, I feel inspired of jumping into the world of Cardfight Vanguard, not because of the OPs and EDs sung by familiar artists, but also the storyline!

Woah... definitely a new feel of Vanguard. First episode already covering toxic positive emotional abuse, getting unwanted advances, actual violence and the fear of being led to a suspicious place by suspicious people. Definitely see some classic CLAMP style in there too! Lots of BLUSHING and open-minded gender boundaries. I still miss the classics that actually explained the skills and allowed you to gauge the flow of the game, but I must admit, the moment Daiji reached into the darkness and pulled a hand out... I had chills.

Oh...my...gosh, when the second half came I was like...Mind Blown. The Animation was was AWESOME!!! and this is just episode 1 there's more action to come so LET'S GOOO!!! As for characters I love them I feel that there will be a lot of character development down the line, I can already see it based on how these characters are introduced. Overall, again AWESOME!!! STAND UP THE VANGUARD!!! Oh yeah prepare for a lot of YuDan or DanYu shippers.

This ONE episode has more substance, character and charm than 90% of previous seasons of Vanguard combined. I'm loving this.

Been with this series all the way back in 2011 when the anime first aired its episode and had a blast playing the first trial decks of RP and KG. My main clans now are LJ and DP so you know which nation I'm pledging loyalty to (LOL) but love ALL the clans (nations) regardless. Happy 10th Anniversary Cardfight Vanguard! I'll see the rest of you all on Cray for more heated battles and in the end, be rivals or friends at the end of those fights!

I miss the good old days where i play vanguard with a lot of friends when the series still G stride gate and then after the series ended they stop playing vanguard, which force me to stop playing too. I don't know i still love vanguard and seeing the overdress series makes me want to play it again. Unfortunately i don't have any friends to play with... can't just do cardfighting alone, right? Guess i'll just watch the anime for now... don't know when will i be able to play again. Someday.. i hope...

I swear, with each generation, less gameplay is shown in the anime...

this is my first time watching a cardfight vanguard series and the first 20 minutes i didnt know where this story was headed but on the last minutese i witnessed one of the best fight scene with beautiful animation ive seen all year! wow

Woah this blew my mind! The quality of this is amazing and im really looking forward to more. Also I really love the cross dressing theme of the main character, I hope its a recurring thing, very progressive and different for this genre.

Started watching back in 2013 when I got my 1st job but led me to depression. Watching The CFV Anime and playing the Game was the only thing I ever enjoyed during that dark time in my life and here I am gonna celebrate CFVs 10th Year Anniversary with this new era :) Stand Up OUR VANGUARD

Regarding the main cast ; Yuyu is kinda like a more feminine Aichi, and Danji is a more goofy and cheerful Kai.

I haven't been here since the start - got into VG around march 2016, it's been a crazy 5 years! This season already looks great!

I got confused when the vanguards were duking it out in the stadium. But as for changes like this in a franchise it's not new to me. I'm excited to see whats in store for Overdress within the franchise.

Oh WOW! That was an Impressive start. The Sakuga Was Splendid, The Characters have a different more Teasing yet more Mature Chemistry. The ED was Amazing, The Animation is clean, The Ambient Music Really sells the Wonder and Intrigue leading up to the Cardfight. Honestly I'm really Happy that they Started out the Cardfight the way they Did and ratcheted up the Intensity toward the End! Absolutely Incredible Work To All Involved In the creation of this Glorious piece Of Animation!

No sign of an overarching plot yet, but color me intrigued. This was a very fun pilot episode! I'm a bit worried that crossdressing is going to become a big gimmick of the series, but for now: a fine start to a new era of Vanguard. Here's to many more fine episodes!

This my first time watching Vanguard overall, I always liked card games in general. It's really nice they made this one available on RU-vid with so many idioms available in the subs. It's a really great work on how to gather more fans.
