Hi Max 👋, thanks a lot! Yeah I did a lot of research and asked a lot of people and what can I say? I have also a Fenix headtorch 😊. So far my only complaint is that the headband on my version is 'just' fitting when I wear my hat plus a hood from a fleece and I wouldn't consider my head as an extraordinary big one 😂. Yeah I know the Bolognese was quite a suprise 😂. I could have used crampons tbh. but I was a kind of lazy and it was still possible even the way down 😎. Said this I do believe that on the next trips I will need crampons (weather permitting, or better wind speeds 😉)

Yeah absolutely Robin! The Fenix is a beautiful headtorch makes the night to a day - unfortunately it doesn't really come out in the video I think 😎😂. See it exactly as you said, the wee one is a beauty but not really for 'winter hiking' 👍

Hi John 👋, yeah I really like my Bolognese, quick to make and easy to hydrate again. My next favourite is the chicken curry but it takes ages to make as it involves like chicken (slow cooker), courgette, paprika, tomatoe puree and rice - or in short it takes like 2 days for me to make 2 portions. Thanks a lot! Yeah might be, not sure but just to have the peace in mind of a reliable headtorch (which is definitely a safety relevant item) I am more than happy with the Fenix one. Furthermore I think it is so much better to have the option to swap batteries if needed - the Petzel one is like nearly 50% of the whole headtorch which is a kind of ridiculous from my point of view.

Yeah definitely, thankfully I had the flexibility to go one day later as the forecast for the initial day was quite windy and I do prefer little to no wind in winter tbh 😂👍

Hi Gary 👋, thanks a lot. I am using a kojin style alcohol stove, you can make one super cheap yourself (have a video on that) or just buy one (for example speedster stove). I really like the speedster stove windshield as it has an integrated pot stand. I was in the same position and I need to admit that the kojin style alcohol stove definitely caught me, much cheaper than gas (2l = 8 pounds, more than a year fuel for me and I head nearly once a week out), less weight and somehow I enjoy it more than a gas stove.
