This was actually really cool. I'm just getting into the off-roading community and drive a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander SE with a fresh set of Falken Wildpeak AT tires. I can't wait to do stuff like this.
The Santa Fe did especially well since the Subaru driver went first each time while spinning and digging deeper ruts in the mud for the Santa Fe to go through.. plus had nice off road tires unlike the Santa Fe.
So what are we saying here? That santa fe is a better performer? Or is this because of the hancooks? We are comparing japanese vs korean? Santa fe looks interesting. Subaru ground clearance is too low for a more difficult terrain.
My brother has a 2012 Santa Fe. It goes Really good of road and in snow and sand. Anywhere my Jeep Wrangler goes. The Hyundai has a 4x4 lock and hill descent button. Really nice in loose Sand.

The subi seems to have snow tires and the santa fe has all season. My wife has had 2 santa fe's, both walk through deep snow likes it's barely there. Love them. That is in no way meant to be negative to the subi's; they are tried and true.
Put off road tyres on the Santa Fe like I have snow mud water had no problems great car for the price takes on all the Subarus, hondas landrovers good for pulling too
This is more a case of driver competence than vehicle ability. The Subaru driver is clearly inexperienced - steering too much, when the front wheels are at an excessive angle they cause resistance (ploughing) - over-revving causes wheel-spin and therefore lack of traction. The Hyundai driver usually had the better line

Awsum1here the driver in the hyundai was better experienced for driving in mud. the forester driver had no clue. i have a 2000 forester and have handled mud like that with normal tires no problem.
Awsum1here I'll have the Forester any day of week. Hyundai's transmissions are garbage and flare out often. Trust me, I have a 2006 Hyundai, had a 96 Legacy Wagon and now I own a 2010 Outback.
Another thing is value, I tried to sell the Hyundai and I can't find anyone willing to give me 2000 bucks for it. Resell value is horrible on this cars. The only reason they give 10 year "warranty" it's because they know their products suck. Just yesterday a friend of mine bought a 2004 Forrester with 230,000 miles on it for 2500 bucks and it runs like a million dollars.

Fellow west Virginian here and I agree 100% I've drove both the santa fe is a good car and they go well in snow but foresters beat them in turns and mountains every day
Привет! Про девятки не слушай))) сразу обратил внимание на резину, резина хорошая, и все препятствия дались машинам легко, но все бы изменилось будь шосейка, стало бы тяжелее, а так видее показывает бездорожье по которому обычно ездят на рыбалку или за грибами в центральной полосе России))
Более свежие модели СантаФе, редкостную беспомощность показывают чуть съехав с асфальта. Вообще все больше и больше кроссоверы и внедорожники становятся склонны к асфальту😔
Гыыы, так автопроизводители в надежде на то машины строят, что и автодорожники будут асфальт ложить. Хотя в развитых все так и есть. Наши же вон... все буханку собирают, как раз по нашим дорогам машина. Хотя, смотрел обзорчик на буханку недавно, за 2020 г. кенгурятник с лебедкой нацепили, сразу видно, что люди в курсе всех дел и, что в ожидаемом будущем дороги будут только хуже
@@DBDYAKU no its definitely far better. The Subaru is a rear wheel biased constant awd, the Hyundai is a fwd biased awd system that only kicks the rear wheels in if the front wheels start spinning.
I think it is, because these vehicles are made for the road only. Like weather related situations. Not of road in Africa. A Toyota land cruiser maybe..
Улыбнуло))) сейчас многие владельцы Субариков горюют из-за того что корейцы делают вменяемые автомобили за гораздо более скромные деньги и с большим ресурсом, про ремонт и обслуживание этих машин говорить не приходится, на оппозитах одна только замена свеч (а на нашем бензине они летят быстро) это танцы с бубном за очень хорошую сумму.
Вы владели хоть одним субарико? Судя по вашему коменту у вас все знания из разряда "люди говорят". Владею фориком 1 поколения 6 лет замена свечей занимает у меня 15 минут( двигатель снимать с подушек не требуется и даже сверлить лонжерлны тоже ненадо), свечи(иридиевые) ходят уменя по 3 года. Ходовка отходила у меня 6 лет, заменя всех ризинок линок стоек и тд вышла у меня в 30т р(стойки правда контракт, но все резиновые детали новые оригинал или полиуритан) и где дорого
@@sergexer966 имел опыт владения Легаси, больше не хочу, а вот от Санты я в восторге, 170 000 и ни чего ещё не менял, а если и буду, то ценник на запчасти и на работу ниже на 35-40%. Субару в принципе не стоят своих денег. они когда то создали себе имидж (как Сааб) и пытаются на нём заработать. По соотношению цена/качество они проигрывают корейцам.
Ну незнаю у нас запчасти на субару дешевле, но у нас до япии лоплюнуть можно а вот от кореецев народ наоборот не ввосторге. Как говорится каждому свое...
@@sergexer966 из Москвы не доплюнешь))) а новые запчасти по любому у японцев дороже, как и сервис, причём сервис Субару самый дорогой из японцев (Лексусы все лечат в сервисах тойты)
Ну незнаю как в Москве а у нас субари ремантируют в субару клубах к такихже владельцев субарей и цены чисто номинальные, свап мпкк вместе с работой обошолся мне в 30т
В таких тестах, зачастую, нет объективности изначально и автор хочет доказать, что его тачка "пущка-гонка, уапше ааагонь, Уасся", а всё остальное - дно.
En mi opinión la hyundai santafe se porto mejor. La vi más relajada pasaba más de frente que la forester. Ambas son buenas pero en este video vi mejor a la hyundai santafe
Concuerdo contigo, pero yo creo que se debe únicamente a que quién conducía el Subaru, notoriamente, carecía de experiencia. El Subaru es mucho más máquina que el Hiunday.
If you do not mind, I will answer you in English. Subaru have russian offroad tires- Cordiant Offrad, it's mudterrain tires. SantaFe have Hankook DynaPro AT. Subaru have good moral permeability, because owner does not regret like Santa's owner. The experience of the drivers is about the same, but the driving style is different.
