CJ, we love your cars sir. I'm know I'm asking for a big favor, but would you mind doing a close-up walk around and explanation of what you did on the buggy? My dad passed away and I got his buggy that I grew up riding in as a kid. It has a little wore out 1300 dual port, and that 40hp just doesn't cut it here in houston, where everybody drives like it's formula 1. I would really like to see some of the modifications you made to the frame, transmission and transaxle, etc. If possible. I understand if you don't have time but I sure would appreciate it sir. God bless you, Thank you for your content and keep it up either way. Blessings
hi, sorry about your dad, I also lost mine 4 years ago. About the buggy and without spending a lotl, I would do a 1776cc engine, a engle w120, double carburetors and a good 4x1 exhaust. (all dynamically balanced and blueprinted) For the gearbox I would go with an 8x33 and reinforced side covers. And you would have a good performance, whether for daily driving or for weekend fun. My old buggy had a 1600 engine, dual carburetion and 4x1 exhaust and it was a spectacle to drive. Just my two centa
First of all, I want to say sorry for the delay response. Haven’t been checking my RU-vid page for comments because I’ve been so busy doing home remodeling but if you messaged me, I will try to give you much information as you need to decide if it’s worth doing.
