they sound damn near the same. the 05 has a deeper rumble to it. the 20 sounds louder.

@@joeyvillanueva4953 100% true. This is common knowledge in the wrx/sti community. It's been talked about for years and countless people have suggested Subaru needs to do something new for the engines of future sti's. Supposedly in 2022 the new gen sti will finally get an upgraded engine. The sti uses the same ej257 from 04 to present day 2021.
