"I'm sure we'll meet again soon" that's so badass!!.. imagine after saying that he slowly puts his shades and walks away xD a thug life indeed. Idk why its sounds so arrogant in the JP standard but he could've said it sarcastically, but he couldn't since he's a newbie that time lulz xd
The way he phrase it is like "We'll meet each other again anyway"(probably saying that they will meet again at work the next day again), and hence strongly suggesting that there's no need to go out together with them
he was a newbie at that time and sakurai was voicing the main chara, the sentence implies that kakki will soon be voicing regular characters like the other senpais
Kakihara wasn't exactly a fluent Japanese speaker at that time even though he was Japanese. He grew up in Germany and only went back to Japan to visit his family sometimes so he didn't use much Japanese when he grew up. He learned Japanese through manga and anime because he wanted to be a seiyuu so when he started becoming one, his Japanese skills were still a bit rusty so I guess that's why he accidentally used a different term than what he was thinking he said lol.
I'm sure we'll meet again.. at home? Is that what they're trying to say xD Glad they cleared up the misunderstanding I'm learning Japanese too atm But I'm scared that I'll make mistakes like this in the future, I hope I won't Ano koe, do you have a situation like this too? :P
In Japanese Senpai-Kouhai culture, newbie(kouhai) should have more humility than veterans. His quote sounded like he had conviction that he would get a lot of roles of characters enough to see Sakurai in other recordings soon. it sounded he is overly proud for a newbie. I'm sorry for my bad English, but I'm glad that you get what I want to say.
