Great video! I was wondering if anything is in the works to get a SiriusXM tuner to work on Android HUs? I know you can use the SiriusXM app to stream music, but that won't do any good in areas without network service.
I'm posting again because i didn't get an answer and noticed you were answering other peoples that messaged later.......can I upgrade my head unit lolipop to marshmallow ? Or do I need the new one? If I need the new one will I be able to just plug in my 28 pin harness to the new unit?
Anyone else purchase this unit, and have connection issues with the EasyConnect app. Mine will link up with my phone then disconnect like my phone was unplugged. There is no information anywhere that I can find.
Well I by pass my 25 forester with HK add a after market amp and prv speaker on 4 door. With the stock radio you won't be able to have bass since the amp is by pass you need a way to connect a after market bass with loc. And is not going to sound good enough. I add a after market single din radio meanwhile waiting on this guys to see if I can get one of those radio

This thing kinda sux. Better sound, but it gets crackly every 5-10 minutes for a couple seconds. Gets stuck in skip mode as I call it, where skips every 3 seconds, till you turn the unit off and back on. Sometimes loses key binds for volume/skip track/pause. Maps crashes. Other apps crash often. Won't read SD card sometimes. I get feedback when Flash drives are inserted (likely bad ground). Upgraded and done multiple resets, still has the same problems. I've been dealing with this unit for about 6 months.
Really would like to see better integration with stock wiring and the telemetrics unit. I don't wanna just stuff it down in the back of my dash. No thanks. Also, does this not work with the stock microphone? If so... really?
For the 2016 USB retention adapter, I don't understand how it plugs in. I've got the exact metra cable and the only plug that connects to anything is the USB to the adapter that comes with the unit, but i can't tell where the other end plugs into for the stock USB cable.. A little help?

John Nguyen yo john i dont know about you but i feel like dumping my v1 and gettin this lol. The v2 is the same as the v1 with a different som board everything else is the same, and 2 GB!
If anybody figured out how to get the rear camera working in a 17 crosstrek and wants to make a quick buck please let me know. I'll gladly paypal you a tip if it works. Have everything wired up except for the rear camera.
You guys skipped the MOST IMPORTANT step to install this properly. People are having issues with the screen bezel coming apart and detatching because apparently we're having issues putting them in, it requires a significant amount of force on the screen to push in. How should we be pushing them in anyways???
Not true considering this video came out before they had 2018's they could test with.... I've already ran into problems with my 2018 because of videos and Subbispeed products that say 2015+
I just installed in my 18, everything works but I am having issues with the backup camera wiring...I think the colors might be different but I am also slightly colorblind so that might be it lmao!
