& I meant to say clean my rollers***** not printhead. Sorry guys Disclaimer: when it comes to crafting, there will always be another way, time, temperature, etc. You have to find what works best for YOU & the results that you are looking to achieve.
Wow, thanks for this video it is right on time although I do have lots of transfer paper and a new hp I would like to invest in a sublimation printer to give this a try the design came out so brilliant. Wow! YES, I'm a new subbie too!
Thank you for watching! And you’re welcome, put some of that transfer paper to use lol. But yes I recommend the Epson ET-2803 if you’re wanting to start small, if not I recommend one of the larger format ecotanks like the Epson ET 15000.
Someone I watched said you should place your heat press over the image after you put the powder on to melt it into ink. Then press like normal. She said it helps make it more vibrant. I think she just held it over the paper for about 45 seconds or so. Love that image ❤❤❤ new to your channel :)
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. I’m going to record a new DTF Sublimation tutorial soon with my larger format printer and I’ll try this method. 🫶🏽
Just noticed you didn’t use parchment/grease proof paper when pressing , may have protected the T-shirt from the odd mark It looked awesome by the way thanks for uploading
I didn’t because i noticed that the ink doesn’t typically bleed through the film.. I’m thinking that mark came from some of the ink and powder getting under the heat tape.. hence it was some of the same colors . Thanks for watching
Wonderful information thank you lovely ...quick question what do you suggest for printing with to get the non peel i want to switch from my vendor to self printing but i do not want the image to peel at all ... its why i stick with em no peel off effect after months of wear...any suggestions would be appreciated thanks again ❤
I noticed you didn't melt your powder, before you press it. I put mine in a my sublimation oven or under my press, without it touching my print for 3/4 minutes before I press. But that came out so pretty
Typically, it should be a cold peel from what all my dtf paper states. I have tried it a few times, I do cure mine then press. I am not a fan of the DTF hack, but maybe I will try with more papers and powders...I have so much of it to practice with..I need some old shirts to try this on
Thank you! & just based on my experience I don’t think it will hold up longer than regular sublimation only because regular sublimation is strictly ink and polyester. However, I do see this as a possible alternative to light transfer paper
It’s the glossiness of the paper from my understanding. & you may not be able to avoid them altogether but you can at least reduce them by cleaning your rollers.
Does this work for dark fabric? I'm going to try this I hope it works. Im having trouble using my sublimation printer with dtf melting and pressing time.
How do you get your photo not to leave roller marks? Everytime I try this it smears the color cuz the roller and then it doesn’t read that there is paper in the paper tray
I made one doing the same steps but the image printed look like has little bowl the ink on the paper and onnthe shirt look the same and when I wash the ink gone.
@@allthingsjanee oh ok that's good to know but I will definitely try this soon how long do I let the ink transfer dry before placing thank you for sharing
@@ladys702 you’re welcome. And I immediately place the powder on mine.. I don’t think it will “dry” cause of the paper’s texture. One time I let mine sit and came back then next day and it was still wet
Good evening, I just found your video and it’s very informative on the hack for dtf. However I have a problem with the print after it comes out of the printer, some of my ink is not wet enough for the power to stick to the image. Can you help me with this issue? Please and thank you in advance.
Hey, thanks for watching and I didn’t cure it first cause I was going to press it right away. This method always works for me, let me know your results if you try it out
It didn’t print it, it printed all the color surrounding the eye that left the illusion that it printed white, but my guess would be that the film also added to the illusion of it if that makes sense
Hello thank you for the video. What size paper was that? Also how do u get the images big enough for adult size shirts. I am new in the game. Lol i appreciate your video.
@@allthingsjanee I just looked at another video she didn’t cure it. I do like your way of sublimating on cotton shirts. I just ordered some ASub Powder and film it should be here Monday, I’m at the learning stage of it. Using Vinyl is getting on my last nerve.
@@rhondathomas6773thank you, there’s always going to be another way that someone else does it, you just have to find what works for you, which is what I do.
@@rhondathomas6773 also, I think it’s because of the temperature and time that I used, that I was able to still achieve the same results. I seen others use shorter times and temperatures
