One can end up with an uncle who gets a scroll saw and an aunt who learns how to crochet tp covers. You love them with all your heart and they only want to share what they enjoy and spread the love. These are the people who put your little kid drawings on the fridge so of course you're grateful. But your (and your wife's) creations-this is officially 'that's gorgeous and I'd pay folding money for this'. Every single time. You are two incredibly talented and dedicated people. Even just on RU-vid, I'm proud to 'know' you.
Thanks. We definitely have fun and get enjoyment making items to give away. It's fun growing old together and having time to learn new things. Thanks for watching.
Wow so impressive. Incredible how vibrant compared to the photos! You are set up to run a heck of an Etsy shop to provide customized gifts now. (In all your spare time.😄😊) You're going to live forever because you have the passion to learn new, complex things and the energy to execute the plans.
Thanks. Just amazing results without much effort. Wish there was a local kid that wanted to learn and set up a shop. I could help them get started. I tried setting up a business years ago and when the lawyer told me the minute you hire someone in NY it's gonna cost over $20k for NY mandates every year off the top, I started a youtube channel to keep busy. instead. That covid vaccine took at least 10 years from me so I now struggle through this stuff just to keep my mind active during the good days. Thanks for watching.
It's a beautiful area. lately we have had a couple more close calls. Cell phone distraction is a problem everywhere now that cell towers cover just about everywhere. Thanks for watching.
Wish this stuff was available 20 years ago. This could definitely be a fun easy moneymaker. You can't put a price on fun. Bucket list is almost complete. Thanks for watching.
I bought the sawgrass sg500 for my wife. I’ve been sick and am now working to get setup. I bought the same little beeline computer that you showed earlier video and thank you for that. Instead of just a monitor, I got a tcl 32” Roku tv. Wife wanted tv in craft room, so it does double duty
That's a nice one. I didn't like the price of the cartridges so decided to try this first. Hope she has fun with hers. I also have a Roku plugged into my monitor but have found just running the spectrum app on the windows 11 lets me watch anything while working on a second desktop or in the corner of the desktop I am working in. So many options available these days. That's a great little computer. Thanks for watching.
@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 I did not notice cartridge prices until after I bought it. I found some blank cartridges in 2 sets and reviews were good just have to remember to swap out so it does not read same chip twice in a row. Does your wife sell her crocheted animals. Would love to get each of my grandchildren one
That sounds good, I didn't realize you could refill and reuse the cartridges. I thought they werekeyed by date like the HP ones. Sorry she doesn't sell any, just makes them to donate to kids in need of a friend.
I really like your enthusiasm in everything you do. With the sublimation I got into it a couple of years ago with pretty much the same equipment you have. I really enjoyed doing it but seemed to lose interest after a while. You have rekindled my interest and I will now be getting back into it. Luckily I have kept the printer in good order by running a test print every week to stop any chance of clogging. Thanks for another great video.
It's definitely a fun process. Being able to add permanent color to items makes them more interesting. I was concerned about possible clogging from sitting and had the same plan to do a sublimination at least once a week. Thanks for watching.
It's really amazing what can be done with the Epson Eco-tank printers (or Canon equals). I bought the Epson ET-8550 last fall and it prints reasonable quality pictures from 5 inks (and the alternate black). I think what you are doing with the sublimation printing is very impressive.
I also have the bigger Epson ink tank printer and it has payed for itself. This one is a lot slower but does a good job. I am still fighting to get the color match. I installed the ICC Hiipoo file but my Paint shop pro seems to override that so I am now playing with the rgb settings. Trouble is the colors change slightly after the sublimination process. Hoping to add color to my laser projects with this but now everyone wants mousepads that will keep me busy for a while. Thanks for watching.
Wow just found your channel. Nice! What does sublimation do for you? As in does it last longer on T shirts or is it just better than HTV vinyl? It looks like a neat process and fun too. I guess what's the advantage? Thanks!
HTV is bonded to the surface of items where sublimination permanently transfers through a vapor process to polyester making it soft and more or less a permanent graphic that won't peel overtime. Thanks for watching.
I used the printer ICM file from the ink manufacturer for some and played with the custom settings for the printer for some. I had best luck printing the files from Shiloutte Studio. Be sure everything is fully transfering from the paper also. If not heat a little longer. Thanks for watching.
Ed, I sat here with a stupid grin on my face the whole time I was watching. My daughter has the equipment to do that so I don't need to follow you down that rabbit hole.
That will save you some money. I have wanted to try this for years and finding that printer on sale got me going. I need more time in a day. Thanks for watching.
@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 I have been wanting to try it out for a long time too. There just isn't enough hours in the day and there isn't enough get up and go in this old boy.
