I’ve listened to this everyday for about 2 weeks straight now since I’ve found it, I loved the original & I love sublime. I can’t believe how artistic Brad was to have the balls to touch this song and STILL do his own thing to it, truly a legend
It's pretty much exactly what Aston in Bob Marley's original played. Not being a dick, but listen to them both. He's a SOLID bass player, he's not John Entwistle or JPJ. Listen.
@@groovehound It’s all relative. Its like me saying JPJ and Entwistle are no Jack Bruce. Ive never seen them play a fretless bass whilst also singing lead. Does that mean Jack was better? No it doesn’t. They’re all great players in their own right and fit perfectly in their respective bands. Enjoying the music is what it’s all about.
Brad was an incredible player, so under appreciated as a guitarist. This band was just so fucking tight, the band died with him, I don't care about any bullshit recreations. Although I did like long beach dub all stars because they were not trying to cash in on the sublime name and the other people they brought in were actual friends of the sublime family, not some kid no one knows. I wish I could have seen them live, jealous of anyone who did. RIP BRAD
you all prolly dont care but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Just saw Rome with Sublime last night! Rome fucking Rocked the mic! His guitar playing was even on point! RIP Bradley Nowell! A big fucking hole is still in my heart! But at least I can still go to concerts to see Bud and Rome and hear your music live on!
Beer and munchies. And no more surfing and skating due to excessive recording and touring. Also I think Brad blew up because he would put on weight everytime he got off heroin.
Brad and Bob shared a similar mindset. They were incredibly spiritual through their music. They changed not only music, but lives. Long Live Bob & Brad!
Brad Nowell was nothing like Bob Marley smfh. Marley was a voice of revolution.. Brad was a junkie who played in bar band that covered 80s dancehall songs and made some quick cash to support his addiction from it. Brad Nowell could sing I'll give you that... Too bad he couldn't write a song without plagiarizing 40 songs to do so...
Joshua Livingston his most famous songs Santeria, badfish, wrong way, what I got, and tons of others weren’t plagiarized dooshbag. No respect!! No need to be a dick, you sound like a sublime hater
@@joshualivingston7823 You hypocritical fuckwit.Brad and sublime are legends, anyone who says otherwise has a limited understanding of music history .They basically invented ska . Nobody was doing their music at the time .To criticize someone for being a junkie while knowing Marley smoked drugs every day and not pointing that out ,brah cmon .Also, Bob died because of his own stupidity when refusing to get his cancer removed , everyone has their flaws
@@dimetilldeath bahahahahahahah invented ska?! Ska was invented in Jamaica in the early 60s. You clearly have no idea about music or taste for that matter. Sublime was a ripoff/coverband THE END
@@noahwilliams_117 Santeria came about while Brad was trying to play RHCP's under the bridge while he was recording in crackhouses around long beach for robbin the hood lmao... What I Got is ripped off of Half Pints "Loving" mixed with the melody of The Beatles "Lady Madonna" , "Pawnshop" is a direct ripoff of The Wailing Souls " War Deh Round A Johnshop" "Wrong Way " took elements of The Specials "Its Up To You" lmao ... Saw Red is directly ripped off of Barrington Levy's "She's Mine" , Caress Me Down is ripped off of Clement Irie's - "Caress Mi Down" , Get Ready was ripped off of Frankie Paul's "Get Ready" , Jailhouse was ripped off of Bunny Wailer's "Rule This Land" mixed with Tenor Saw's "Roll Call". I just listed 90 percent of their most famous songs off the self titled album and proved they were plagiarized by Sublime ffs. They were a cover band that couldnt write their own shit. Your life is a lie lmao
why not just listen to the original Barrington Levy version of Prison Oval Rock ? its far better than the half assed too fucked up to play covers Sublime did
@robbinJAHood: No accounting for taste I suppose. Not sure why you say he's not a fan. I've seen video of the guy saying he felt so lucky cause he's always wanted to jam with musicians like Bud and Eric and now he gets to jam with Bud and Eric. He got turned onto sublime at an early age. They were part of his inspiration. What else do you need to hear?
Eric is the bassist and Bud is the drummer but when he wasn't around there were a buncha different replacements like Ras MG, Kelly Vargas, Opie Ortiz and I think even Miguel Happoldt. But yea that is Eric, he used to be skinny as shit. Look up Don't Push live 4/20/1990 and you'll see that he looks different alllll throughout his career
damn wonder if a good copy of this entire show exists..i had one from along time ago but some people wont stfu and u cant hear brad to well..but after listening to this ..it seems to be much better copy but could be a different boat show altogether..idk
everybody can say sht about rome yeah its not the same bur brad lves on through him im just happy the great music he wrote is beng played again people need to hear it
i dont get why everyone hates Rome, no shit he isn't as good as Brad, why would anyone in their right minds want someone as good as Brad, if you had somebody come in and be as good, that would be taking away from Brad, just listen to the vibes and enjoy them
Nice job stealing my husband's original photo of Sublime from his Instagram and not giving him a photo credit. @gusmarks on IG. Credit the people you swipe from.
