Real love’s something that I still know... 🥰 Dude, can you even begin to imagine what these guys would be up to these days - the kinda music they’d be making?! Even if they broke up, Brad would no doubt still be in it... possibly even collaborating with his kid. The mixing of genres back then was still pretty much in its infancy, and Brad was absolutely a master of the craft... and with the evolution of music these past 2 decades, there’s no telling what kind of bizarre and funky ass jams they’d be coming up with. It’s such a fucking shame, Bradley’s love for music and his passion for creating new things and stretching boundaries is such a rare concept in today’s modern music scene. Please, please, PLEASE - don’t do Heroin, people. Just don’t do it. Just say NO. I’ve lost 3 friends this past year or so to the stuff... and have had my own struggles. And with Fentanyl as widely available as it is, and cut into everything, even drugs it has NO business being in, like Cocaine or MDMA (which still makes absolutely no fucking sense to me), the possibility of overdosing and not even realizing it is so insanely high, it’s not even funny. People love you. People care about you. And people are devastated - absolutely destroyed when they discover a loved one accidentally OD’d on Fent-laced dope. Addicts don’t realize just how much your death will effect the ones who love you. It really fucking sucks to get that phone-call, I speak from personal experience. It changes you... for better and worse. Jesus, sorry for the rant. Sublime is in my top 5 favorite bands, has been since the mid 90s when I was a teen living in Lakewood CA - 10 mins away from Long Beach... the LBC. So I have a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to this subject. So I apologize for the length of my comment... but if you’re still reading, I truly appreciate it 🙏🏽
100% agreed. It’s such an underrated record... dare I say, my favorite official release, though 40oz and Second Hand Smoke are right up there with it. Seems that most casual fans will gloss over it due to its “mixtape” kinda vibe and over all poor quality due to the numerous 4-track homemade recordings. The studio recorded tracks are definitely the most sought after by the casual fan, but if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find some real gems on this album; Free Loop Dub, Cisco Kid, Steppin’ Razor, Lincoln Highway, and of course this one, Work That We Do, are just a few of my absolute all time favorite Sublime tracks from their entire discography.
@@ryline666 ehhh, maybe we can agree to disagree here, because I’ve always felt Sublime w/ Rome was totally overrated. To the point that I actually had a much better experience with that Badfish Tribute band’s performance over Sw/R’s concert. Seriously. And they’ve made a total fan out of me as I’ve caught their shows every year the past 4 or 5 years and only saw Sw/R the one time when they hit their first tour. They should have just stuck with Long Beach Dub Allstars instead of bringing in some random dude. But that’s just my opinion.
@@SmokeyMcPotProductions Are you sure you meant to reply to me? I never wrote anything about SwR in my original comment. In fact I am not really a fan of them to be honest. I have seen Badfish several times and love them, they do a far better job as a tribute band. I've also seen LBDA a few times back in the day ad they were also fantastic. I'm just a really big fan of Sublime with a special affection for Robbin the Hood.
