There is a very well maintained Gato sub as part of a museum only an hour from where I live. Truly amazing machine although the cramped conditions onboard must have been a nightmare for the crews.

Sub play has become a joke. Gata class sub with a top speed higher than most WWII destroyers. Played a game today with not one, not two, but three subs in it. Last game I'm playing today.

gato-class submarines could go at a maximum speed of 21 knots at surface, and 9 knots when submerged. very well balanced, WG! 😂

Yeah, Yoshino and Pommern didn't use hydro to avoid torps and detect this Gato, obviously some skill issues. This game represents just how many idiots sailing around these days...

When the depth charge does 0 damage, takes out 2 torpedo tubes, ignites the ship on fire, causes flooding and breaks the sonar (it did 0 damage) So subs are not broken, just get a competent guy that knows how to aim depth charges

@@proxi60 Is that your complaint? In real life destroyers do not go "undetected" and mass torp salvos to kill ships. They are but a picket force. But in game before submarines they functioned as submarines. Same goes for magic radars behind rocks that cruisers use. A joke since in real life they don't function like that. But yeah just pick on the class you hate. The only ships that are kind of realistic in game are battleships.

Show me a WWII era sub that carried that many torpedoes. Also make them realistic with 30% being duds or runaways. Broken does not begin to describe this gameplay.
