I got high anxiety when you showed a front view of ur base

When you can't see him, and can still hear him....that's the scariest part.

The absolute balls of steel it must take to even build this base, let alone live in it.

imagine waking up one day and the reaper is observing you through the glass

When your aquarium is not big enough to keep pet you'd like to have.

Idk why but I find the idea of having an aquarium underwater hilarious

seeing it swim past the windows and vanishing into the distance is absolutely beautiful

Not only did this video get me back into subnautica, but I built in the same spot... Its incredible! The spot is both in a beautiful location and next to very useful areas. One criticism I have is the neighbours are very loud, roaring at me all the time.

I tried doing this once, I build a base right on the edge of the dunes biome so I could see reapers swimming around in the distance, only problem was no reapers ever showed up so I was just staring at a desert. Very calming view actually, I might do it again sometime

I think I would die irl if I fell into the moonpool

Built a “menagerie” with double- or triple-decker tanks for each egg in their respective biomes, with accompanying small fish and plants. Built it on top of the thermal vent in the sparse reef that has a cuddlefish egg by it. Conveniently, right above that is a reaper. So the highlight of my menagerie is an observation tower to see him. It’s deep enough that there is very little sunlight too, so I have several lights set up that the reaper moves in and out of. The whole thing feels very “Jurassic Park.” It’s my pride and joy, even if it is a laggy mess.

That last clip where the reaper aggroed on you made me audibly say "oh no, get up, Get Up, GET UP!" as you climbed back up into the moonpool... anxiety through the roof...

This is what made Subnautica, the Reaper Leviathan is such a vital part of this game and sparked Subnautica, it lurks in the depths and disappears into cloudy water, where would we be without you Reaper Leviathan.

Tbh, even though he is scary, he is so majestic and graceful and has some beauty in him, I'm absolutely terrified and yet fascinated with giant sea creatures. I know it's a game, but from a real perspective it's not his fault he is aggressive, nature made him a predator and that's necessary for life. I'd love to have a reaper observatory ❤️

I’ve been playing Subnautica blind for the first time and I literally built my house on the mountain right next to yours. The reasoning was because there were no sand sharks, so I thought it was SAFE. Let’s just say a certain Reaper wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of a new neighbor.

This reminds me that when I found the cliffs above dunes in my first playthrough, I named a beacon "fuck you" and never approached it once.

Building in dangerous areas make for the best views. Currently building in the active lava zone. (Or at least trying to ;D)

7/10 This place has all the comforts you could ask for, though the view is a bit barren and the neighbor's screaming will keep you up at night.

I currently have a base next to the edge of Reefback territory. When I was building it, one swam directly over my head. There's usually two or three in the area. Its so cool to return and be building things with the occasional deep bellow as background noise. "Ah, should I go for the heated blade or is it a waste of resources...?" *Deep, slow bellow* "Aw, heated blade it is, buddy."

There has never been a game I have wished more for wanting to play it fresh for the first time again. On my first play through I took the great advice on the steam page comments to do as little research about the game as possible. Which made for a truly amazing experience. I knew almost nothing about the game. I decided to go check the back of the aurora with my sea glide, since it wasent too far from the life pod. I went just as the sun was setting. I arrived at the rear of the wreck, looking for an access points. Suddenly I heard that bone chilling roar and a few seconds later saw what made it, just a meter away, chasing me. I’ve never jumped so hard from playing a game in my life. I bolted for the back of the aurora and just barely made it before the reaper lunged again. For the rest of that night, I sat huddled on the wreck, scared shitless. As soon as dawn broke I jumped into the water and bolted strait back to the life pod. I will never forget that feeling as long as I live haha. This game is truly amazing.

This is one of the coolest things to do in Subnautica. I remember building a similar base at the lava zone near the dragon leviathan , it had tracking lights and all kinds of cool stuff. Both the leviathan and the burning water made it a crazy experience, and a pretty cozy base too xd

The observatory with the lovely chair looks like a movie scene. Main dude goes in the base and spots the villain sitting. The villain turns around in his chair like I have been expecting you with a big ass reaper leviathan swimming in the back as his pet

The thing is so angry by you broadcasting its food, and not being able to get to it.

Holy shit, I had actually built a base extremely close to where you did, closer to the jellyshroom area though. I actually really liked that spot because of how you can get to that Blood Kelp area rather quickly from there.

I accidently made a base where reaper laviathan and warpers fought. Lovely base, great scenery. Accidental part was I was stuck there because water physics broke, and I saved before I quit. So I built a base.

This inspired me to make one, I believe I'm in the southwest mountains, it's about 420m away from the alien gun island. Found a path two of seem to patrol and built there, been a interesting way to get over my anxiety of em even if sometimes they seem to be able to grab through the walls. Built foundations then grew creepvines on em cuz they act a bit like lanterns, makes it waaay more creepy at night when they're trying to eat my tank of infected sandsharks.

I always build my base at the back of the aurora near the reaper. My bases never look as nice as that though.

Seeing the Reaper Leviathan up close from behind the glass observatory had me thinking, "Damn... what a disgusting creature" in every context. It's absolutely worth doing, just to flex.

I have saw bases and bases, but this idea is pretty good. I have a reaper leviathan as friend too. He followed me and now his 200 meters away from me. I also want to give him a name. Any idea???
