Found the secret function inside the Cyclops sub by accident. I'm working a video tour of the base you see here (briefly) plus other Subnautica and Below Zero coming soon this year (2021) subscribe to check it out!
thats too accurate of a statement for subnautica. i havent played in a while so when i saw the video i was like "oh a nice subnautica video".but then when he landed, my brain went into full subnautia panic mode.
When I first saw subnautica, I got the game because I thought it looked cool and I wouldn’t be too scared... boy was I wrong. (Seriously I’m scared just to go out of the safe zone)
I feel like the idea of the abyss area scares me but i don’t think the ghost leviathans would i think every other leviathan would tho Btw rip his stuff
Cool how somehow we share a similar gaming experience. Subnautica is sort of a collective game, though for single players. I'm loving every minute of it!
@@gianz73 This happened to me first time ever playing subnautica(I was late to the game so it was at the current update) i made my first cyclops and the first time i went through it i close a bulkhead on my self and got LAUNCHED i somehow made it back with TWO FUL BATTERIES and a seaglide straight to the lifepod.
Ghost Leviathan: I haven’t seen my package yet and it was supposed to arrive last week! WHERE IS IT?! Cyclops: We gotchu bro! READY?! Player: LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO
@@ioancoman7001 the video isn't even a minute long. STOP LEAVING REPLIES TELLING ME I MISUNDERSTOOD THE COMMENT, I KNOW I MISUNDERSTOOD IT!, sorry for snapping.
It would be a lot less scary knowing you can't escape and don't have something valuable like a cyclops or a seamoth to lose. I would rather get killed than swim back all that distance anyway. Fast travel
Answer would be quite obvious really. Sole survivor would have ended up like the poor guys near aurora who had a reaper chew up their lifepod. Assuming the pod wouldn't hit the water before the massive wave caused by aurora crashing into deep would reach it or it alone might have sunk the pod
If ANYBODY survives and makes it to the crater they wouldn't make it so far. The prawn is essential in deep exploration. Their pathing is limited to ILZ and LR by cyclops and seamoth. They also cannot take the blackbox data so they would need to either build a receiver strong enough to download the blueprints or get a rescue mission after disabling the gun. This is all assuming that the aurora was near the crater and not in a random void spot. If it was in a random void spot the survivors would have to rely on entering the aurora and using the resources left there to survive and unless they use seamoth or cyclops to get to the surface and use scavenged resources to build the rocket, they wouldn't survive. And even if they build a rocket unless someone made it to crater a and disabled the gun they would get shot down. If there were plants they could grow them and survive indefinitely in the aurora. If the aurora had the tools to repair the engine and they had an entrance before there was radiation they could avoid radiation entirely, and survive indefinitely. The ghost leviathans would eventually stop attacking however they may cause some hull breaches and unless they seal the doors the ship will flood. Very low chances for survival as it relies on many variables being there, however it is possible. Also if they get to crater a they can survive there very well.
Honestly, the likelihood of the Aurora landing in the Crater was astronomically (haha comedic genius) unlikely. It's just one small 2km by 4km volcanic crater in the middle of an entire world of, as the PDA puts it, an "ecological dead zone".
@@caesar6733 I know that it is, but I think I have an answer. The degasi detected minerals on the crater and went towards it, so the degasi was already on a trajectory. The aurora went to the degasi's last known location, so they were relatively close to the crater. In a PDA you can see that the captain tried steering the ship to the crater. So they did have a pretty good chance of surviving.

That warning was so chilling. I accidentally got stuck at the edge of grand reef one time and made the mistake of saving there. I thought my only option was to jump so i tried falling a few times and it was so scary. Luckily i realized i could use some bs climbing to get back on top of Grand Reef
@@swibbers6754 No, the one that really got me was when the PDA was warning me about leviathans being nearby. It literally asked me if whatever I was doing was worth it.
No matter how long I play this game, the Leviathan class lifeforms, particularly Ghost Leviathans, will always terrify me. I thought I was having a heart attack when I found out there were Ghost Leviathans outside of the ecological dead zone. I thought there was just the one in the Lost River and then infinitely spawning ones in the Ecological Dead Zone. But one day while I was exploring the grand reef I got jumped by one and I freaked. Out.
@@light.5562 Hmm...nope, everything that I said was indeed in proper order, both grammatically and in spelling. I'm afraid that your attempt to both copy and usurp my statement has failed spectacularly.
I had the same thing happen with my Seamoth once. I literally dropped a beacon as I was trying to get away so I could remember there'd be a Ghost Leviathan there. It wasn't until later that I learned about the Crater's Edge.
And there you have it folks, player clutched in the mouth of a Titan sized Leviathan. Will he be able to escape? Will he be lunch for the leviathan? Is he as good as fish dung? Will he lose all his progress? Find out next time in the following episodes of, leviathan dinners!
The bugs in this game are hilarious. I was at the proposed habitat thing with the big snakes getting chased and I got pushed into a small crack and glitched so I couldn’t get out. 225 and counting down, Seamoth within spittin’ distance and snake things fighting to get hold of me, I get to 15 and I glitched out of it and swam away. 10 out of 10 Would play again
I don't know if it was there years ago, but the game has a rather prominent "Stuck" button in the pause menu which, unsurprisingly, helps you get unstuck when stuck.
Me: Alright let’s go to the mushroom forest Cyclops: Did you say Deadzone? Me: Wait no, the mushroom for- Cyclops: Pretty sure you said Deadzone Me: I said Mushr- Cyclops: Deadzone? Me: MUSHROOM FOREST!!! Cyclops:.......TO THE DEADZONE!!!
Imagine how absolutely awesome and absolutely terrifying it would be if that was his first time in the crater edge. “Holy shit, coolest bug-“ {entering ecological dead zone}... “hold up, wait a minute”
@@kelleren4840 out running predators certainly isn't hard, especially in belowzero, but when you're out this far and they're spawning infront of you, to your left, right, back and inside you... no choice but to accept his fate
@@mftripz8445 I had to do that the other day, i was still in my cyclops, but it wasn’t fully repaired… yeah i was sat at 10% health for a good portion of that journey. couldn’t get out and fix it because i used my repair gun
This happened to me once but with the rocket door, I got launched 2km from my destination but I was still barely in the map, while my entire rocket with the platform launched into the void. I barely made it to the rocket with my Cyclops later, got attacked by 2 ghost leviathan's, it was extremely scary as if I died trying to climb the platform, I would of lost the rocket, the Cyclops, prawn suit and everything in them.
@@Nooby123 So you are telling me. you opened the door to the rocket and it flung you to god the fuck knows where, or did i misread it.. Holy shit im wheezing laughing lmao
sussy When someone is acting extremely suspicious. Over the top suspicious Person 1: That guy is always walking around at night. Person 2: I know, he’s really sussy.
Pretty sure that ain't possible after you reach a certain point you get teleported back to the map and I would assume they can spawn anywhere in that distance
Everyone's talking about how scared the player must have been but let's talk about how happy that ghost leviathan must be. He was just sitting in the void when all of a sudden lunch just fell from the sky. That probably made his day
@@15Sean It's relaxing because of the lighting, the sound of the waves etc. but as soon as I hear something roar I take an aurora-sized shit and swim for my life
*Player splashes down* Game: Welcome to the void! Player: *Looks around* I hate it Game: Then I have some good news for you! You won't be staying long Player: Why's that? *Ghost Leviathan sounds off in the distance* Game: Oh...You'll see
You can use the scanner room to detect leviathans, so it helps collecting stuff there. Considering that the area is very ressources and tec rich, it's a viable strategy.
There is a location, the red grassed biome who is really close to the cash zone, to the mushroom biome, and for lots of useful locations where i always build my base
This has happened to me but without the exiting the cyclops. Sometimes I run into the door and the whole submarine will just flop upside down then launch into the air, it usually just goes up thought not to the sides. Still very strange
Honestly it's not just the ghost leviathan awaiting you that gives me anxiety. It's also the fact that you're being thrown SO FAR away, straight into an area of pure nothingness without being in control of it. You just sit there and wait until you land, chances of getting back to your "home" are zero. That's what scares me, the helplessness and nothingness.
Wow. Okay. Start falling please. Land. Land. Land! Land soon! Okay I'm passing the island now... Fall back down into the fucking water right fucking now! Okay now I'm too far don't fall don't fall don't fall shit!
What’s scarier is Void Ghost Leviathans are 1.5 times bigger than Adults found in the crater That makes them around 160.5 meters long, which is almost the length of the Sea Emperor Leviathan
Another fun glitch you can do, go to the lower deck, and open the door into your character. It flings you and the cyclops in a random direction... I landed on top of the aurora with my fling XD
I felt the anxiety for some reason, like being naked and exposed in a sea and outta nowhere that ghost leviathan completed the remaining isolation. Also I was thinking if they added online mode in this game then it could be even a lot fun and less scary when you have someone to hold on to 💀😂
@@fluffypawninja7636 ffs, I'm getting flashbacks of when I thought bt was dead, found out he was alive, he died, I revived him, he almost died and then kamikazed the fold weapon and then getting mf Morse code...
Yea when you landed I was like “Your about to be eaten by a ghost leviathan, aren’t you?” I went the wrong way one time so I’m too familiar with that feeling Edit: I love how all of the replies are one upping each other with the predictions. “Well I predicted that when he entered the cyclops he would be launched into the void.” Keep it going guys 😂
I had it even worse Due to a bug the island disappeared and I though I had to travel farther, at three kilometers from home the ghosts politely told me to turn around and go home before anything bad happens
