Hi, I have followed your video and replaced my swingarm bearings on 2001 kx250, I used a rfx kit as in uk and factory links not readily available. My issue is with the bearings installed and pivot bolt torqued the arm still slides freely approx 5mm left to right. Have you come across this issue before and just too add its a brand new swing arm. Its as if the collars or sleeves are too long because with it installed into the swing arm when one side is flush the other protrudes approx 5mm and I think this is why with it fitted to the bike it slides on the bearing. I installed the linkage just to see if that stabilises it and it does somewhat but still possible to slide with hands. I have measured the distance between frame and engine against the collars and sleeves: the left side is almost perfect fit but the right is very very tight.

this is off topic but do you know where i can get a aftermarket brake pedal? i cant find one anywhere

Did the factory links kit hold up? Thought I saw you using pivot works in another video- struggling to pick a kit for the Swingarm/linkage/ and steering stem after reading reviews, lol.

Followed step by step 1999 kx250 swingarm will not slide back in collars push the spacer out everytime engine is loose to allow the wiggle room no idea what is going on

Be sure to NOT Use Made in China bearings. Koyo, NTD etc are good bearings. I had to buy bolts for the swing arm shock linkage on my KX. They were $20+ each. BUT it turned out I didn't need them. I couldn't find specs for the bolts and replaced them. Then I compared them to the new OEM bolts. I replaced every bearing and anything else you can think of on the bike. Here is a nightmare story: I put the crank bearings (Koyo 63/22C4) in the freezer. Freezer was cycling too warm. For two months. I knew it not. Rust formed....Engine lasted One Hour. That cost me a cool $600 for rebuild the crank again, bearings, bored out the cylinder .020. It's a long story. So, only freeze the bearings when you are going to use them. We replaced the freezer too! Make certain you use bearings with a good reputation. Chinese bearings are dangerous. Probably ok for skateboards....
