#1 Superman's pal Jimmy Olson #134 #2 uncanny X-Men 222. Love that face off! #3 I've been reading the old gi joe series lately. Really into that so far. I'm like 50 issues in. Does that count as 3? New teen titans vol 2. And I suppose I should round it out with gunslinger spawn. Get the big three represented! #4 Image/sky bound Marvel AWA DC The rest of the Indies Great info in this one. Always enjoy the q&a. Thanks yet again!
I want to tell you of my three favorite comic books. #1 Xfactor vol 1, #87. A indebth look at a goofball team. These side characters and secondary characters are given hard hitting motivations as discovered from a psychologist point of view. Why is Quicksilver so arrogant and haughty? He explains, have you ever been to Burger King and the counter idiot can't understand the concept of whopper no pickles? You get annoyed, angry impatient because your life is slowed to a crawl. Im so fast that everyone is like that to me. #2. Immortal Xmen #10. The inner motivations of Charles Xavier is showcased from the very beginning. He had Cerebro, he could've picked any mutant on the planet so why those 5 originals? Iceman, for so much untapped power, Beast for his Genius, Angel for his wealth. Jean for a protégé to carry on his work, and cyclops to hold the team together. #3. Watchmen. I know I know it's practically on everyone's list. But the depth, the characters the motivations, the mystery, and the bad guy wins in a stunning conclusion.

Hey Regie. First trivia question should be to make sure people know how to spell your name. Here are some answers to your trivia questions: 1. Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen134 2. No doubt, hands down…Dark Knight Returns 1 is the best cover ever. It’s just so iconic with the lightning stretching across the cover. Every single person reading this can picture the cover. 3. Three books I’m enjoying are Ultimate Spider-Man (2024), Dracula series is absolutely gorgeous, Deviant is very well written and really creepy. I’m also On the third compendium of Invincible. I never read it before and have been reading the new 20th anniversary compendiums. 4. Ranking the publishers is probably Marvel, DC, Image, Indies and then Dark Horse. Thanks for the great videos.
Answers: 1 - Superman's Ex-Pal The New Jimmy Olson #134 2 - Elfquest #1 (original series from WARP Graphics) 3 - Carnage Mind Bomb, Mandrake Project #1, ROM #1. 4 - Marvel, Dark Horse, DC, IDW (indie), Image. Loving the content, Regie! Thanks. Would love to see a tour of the collection!
#1: Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen 134 in a CGC 9.0 #2: I hate to be cliché, but my all-time favorite comic cover is Silver Surfer #4. It's also the reason why I got into flipping. I sold my doubles and extras to make $$$ to get my copy. 3: Ultimate Spiderman #1, Avengers: Twilight #s 1& 2. I can't wait for Ultimate X-Men #1. Momoko killed it on Demon Days & Demon Wars. 4: Marvel, Image (Skybound), Boom I'm starting to be more accepting of 9.6 moderns, especially if there's a story behind it.
For the contest! 1)Superman’s pal jimmy olsen 134 2)I love batman 608 second print. That Jim Lee art is amazing! 3)Im enjoying Transformers, Batman and Ultimate Spider-Man a lot! 3)My ranking would be: Image, DC, Marvel, Independent and Boom.
Hey Regie, it's so cool of you to offer these giveaways. 1. Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen # 134 Darkseid Cameo (a book I'm considering picking up too). 2. So many covers to choose from but gonna have to say it's between my Big ticket pick-up of ASM 300 and X-Men 50 with Polaris. 3. A reason for picking up the Darkseid Cameo is that I'm reading Jack Kirby's Fourth World books right now. But for comics, recently read Batman 655 Damian Wayne appearance, Uncanny X-Men #129 (Kitty and Emma Frost firsts), and FF Annual #6 (Baby Franklin Richards and Annihilus firsts). Oh and just finished Paper Girls first couple books. Ok, short and sweet: 4. Marvel, Image, DC, Indies, and Darkhorse... Good luck all, and thanks again Regie! PS...Oh, has MARCVS #2 come out yet, I think I'm out of the loop?
3 comics I'm currently reading and loving: 1. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees (IDW) 2. The Hunger and the Dusk (IDW) 3. Avengers Twilight (Marvel) With an honorable mention going out to Ultimate Spider-Man. It's only been 1 issue so far, but man was it a banger.
Man, I know the pain of being a silver age collector. One of my prize books is a 3.0 SS House of Secrets 92 (First Swamp Thing). Of course I would love a 9.8, but I don't have $70,000.00 to drop on a book! Haha.
Pffffff ranking publishers thats a tough one! I have to say I've really been enjoying more indys recently (must be getting old) so i gotta go: 1. Indy (BOOM and IDW tied) 2. Marvel 3. Image 4. DC 5. Darkhorse
I love Homage covers! I think the MacFarland Spiderman #1 may be the most homaged! My favorite comic is Battle Chaser #1 Variant! Baby Got back in that cover lol! My Ranking has to be Marvel, DC, Image and everything else. As always great video Regie! FPP!!
1. SPJO 134, 2. I am a nut for beautiful cover art, and so my favorite changes by the hour depending on mood and what wonderful new covers have come out, but I'm looking at a Jay Ferguson cover for Savage Red Sonja #2 late last year that's on my wall amd it's just stunning. 3. G. Willow Wilson's Poison Ivy is an incredible piece of work, really digging Jee-Hyung Lee's Gumaa, and Kill Your Darlings has me on the edge of my seat, 4 - 1 indies (boom, dynamite for the pulp stuff, but many others as well) 2 DC, Image, 3 Image, 4 Dark Horse, 5 Marvel
Hey Regie, The answers you gave to the questions from folks like me were bang on. I really liked your response to the 9.8 question. If you are a collector of Gold, Silver Bronze and Modern not all of your books will be 9.8s. In some cases known 9.8s do not exist. To answer your trivia questions, here you go. 1. Superman's pal Jimmy Olsen # 134 2. Amazing Spider-man #40 ( lots of memories with that book as well) 3. Enjoyed thoroughly Newburn ( image Comics, Chip Zdarsky) Little Monsters (Image Comics Jeff Lemire ) Conan ( Titan Comics Jim Zub) 4. Image Marvel DC Dark Horse Titan Boom Massive AWA Ablaze
1 - I believe it was the batman 190. 2 - that I own.....Web of Spider-man 32. That I wish I owned...Captain America 1 (1941) 3 - Long Halloween trade, Quasar 1, Spawn 1....(not able to get current comic at the moment). Those were the last I read though. Reread Quasar just because lol 4 - Image (more variety in stories) DC (trying to create original stories still) Marvel (characters hold a place in my heart can't make them last) All other companies All trivia(/essay?😊) answers.
I just recently started collecting again. I got into collecting Something is Killing the Children. My Favorite cover is the SIKTC #6 Ghost cover by Jenny Frison. Now, if you ask me what my favorite cover is from when I started collecting, it is Uncanny X-Men #266. Gambit is one of my favorite X-Men.
1) Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen 134 2) This one is tough, especially with the proliferation of modern variant covers. I would have to go with Spectacular Spider-Man 101. I'm mostly a Spidey collector and also love negative space covers. For whatever reason I don't have this one but probably should since it's not an expensive book. 3) I really enjoyed Ultimate Spider-Man 1 and am excited to see where they take the new universe from here. I also recently read The Last Ronin (maybe I'm cheating and this counts as 5 issues) and have been getting into more TMNT because of it. I also picked up some Soule Daredevil recently and really enjoyed issue 600 where Matt becomes the mayor of New York while in police custody as Daredevil. I feel like there's so many good Daredevil runs, so my answer to what I've read lately and enjoyed will always feature Daredevil. 4) Marvel, Indies, DC, Image (I'm totally open to having my mind changed I just mostly buy Marvel and IDW right now).
Favorite comic cover all time Jim Lee - X-Men #1 (I guess we'll say Special Edition Gatefold since it's technically 4 separate variants). Might not be as homage'd as ASM 300, which is super Iconic, but I think that's a testimate to how much effort it would take to homage Jim Lee's X-Men #1. Love it!
I would have to say. Wolverin Volume 2 Issue 1. It was my very first comic book so I am a bit biased. Even over paid for the homage covers from the last volume lol 1. Beowulf #4 2.Wolverine #42 3.Predator
Your last DC pickup is the one comic that definitely stands out, Jimmy Olsen. I have to say my favorite cover is a modern for it artistic quality, Spawn 301. I really enjoyed reading Isolation ( not trying to butter you up) I continue to read Spawn and Here comes Calico. You're not being nice..Image, marvel, a few Indies , and at the bottom DC. I just can't get into any of their storylines.
My all-time favorite cover is the first comic I purchased at my local 7-11 as a kid... Fantastic Four 149. It grabbed my 9-year old eyes then, and my 58-year old eyes still love it.
Honestly I know it's crazy but when XO manowar came out with the chromium cover, I was instantly hooked so it's my favorite cover, Sandman new #1, Batman gaslight, and Venom's King in Black are my three favorite reads! Love the show and thanks for a chance at a great giveaway 🤘

1. Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen 134. 2. Excalibur 2, 1990s. Good composition, well-done and funny! 3. These are only new to me, but Die: Fantasy Heartbreaker TPB, Motor Girl TPB, and the finale issue 300 of Gold Digger, by Fred Perry. 4. Indies, Dark Horse, Marvel, Image, DC. This was fun to think about, thank you!

Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen 134 is a great book! Favourite cover? Too many to pick! 3 good reads…Junkyard Joe, Once Upon a Time at the End of the World, and Hitomi. As for publishers, most of the books I get now are Image or Boom, so indies! Great show Regie! 🙏
