Looking good!! I had a hydro gear 316 like the two you had in the transaxle shed and pulley swapped it and got going about 10mph on it. I think most hydro are 1:1 pulley ratios, so I went with a 5 inch craftsman mower deck pulley for the engine pulley.
A video of the attachment setup you have on the GT6000 would be great. Wonder if my Cub Cadet XT1 would handle any of that stuff. Thinking not so much though, but hey never know when I may run across a larger size lawn....err....garden tractor
Organization is for slackers haha. Randomization is awesome, cause it's kool to look for that part you need all day long until you go to the fridge for a cold coke, and hey there's that dang thing, and how or when did it get here? and the best is look what I found, didn't know i bought this kool! The part in the fridge was same part just found unknowingly. UGH I need organized boot camp. Your place looks good, you 2 have put in some work!
The hydrostatic transaxles have an internal pressure relief that will not allow you to build more pressure than set by factory. You may be able to figure out how to block that off or something. We tried a while ago and it just wasn't worth the time to us.
@@RCGRacing awesome, good to know someone figured out a way. We haven't done alot with mowers lately, but have been rebuilding/redesigning the mower we jumped 18 feet on the side. Not to jump again... but you never know.
on the white yard boss 1855 restore it restore it restore it. they are very rare and worth a lot of money. it is a very cool tractor. and yours is even more rare because it is orange and not white. i would love to see it be restored.
I have an old 1970's dug well. it goes dry on years like this year when we get no rain in September. It very slowly fills with about 50 gallons or so a day. You plan ahead and only take showers as needed. Paper plates and make as few dishes as you can.
I moved the snow blower for my lawn tractor out to the lean-to on the side of the barn for easier access, that was my winter prep...not even sure if I will bother mounting the blower this winter, haven't had enough snow since I bought the dang thing to even bother with it. Where I have it stored now it'll take me maybe 15-20 minutes to install it, probably less because I think I'll go ahead and drop the mower deck off the lawn tractor after I get done mulching the leaves this fall so that its ready to go if I do need the blower which if I do with the deck already removed it'll take maybe 10 minutes to install the blower if that. Dang you find all the good stuff for cheap out on your side of the country. I'd love to get another GT6000, I sure miss mine, the stuff they sell now isn't built anywhere as rugged as that old GT6000. Mine had the 18HP Twin Briggs engine in it....it mowed our 2 acre property for 21 years plus tons of other property chores sadly it didn't have an hour meter on it but I'm sure it had several thousand hours on it when the engine finally decided to part ways with itself....it was running on 1 cylinder after the other one threw a connecting rod, managed to make it back across my field and onto the carport before it gave up completely. Should have kept it and found a replacement engine.
You got a lot done and a lot more to do. RU-vid took my old channel off and never gave me a reason. But right now they seem to be leaving me alone and putting it to everyone else. Hope it works out for you. Don't give up!!!
If that blue Ford is a sore subject fer ya an ya want er gone I'll find a way to get her. I need a truck to put my madness into. I'ma mechanic, I grew up roun gear heads, if I had a truck, I could do alot.
Same. Mine was a 2000s Murray Widebody with a small Tecumseh/Peerless hydro with no fan and all the fins covered in mud. Ran it pulley swapped for at least 6 months. I sold the trans after that but it took an insane amount of abuse and it never died. I bumped the engine pulley up to 6" and left the rear stock.
Its SO weird To See Comments On you Videos! I Was Hit With That Stupid Minor Protection Thing Too, But Of Course, Im 12. I Think Jessie's Color Was Teal.
I am in Albany Western Australia and my mower shop in my town is called star sales and service I am 13 years old and I know the men that work there so they let me go in their skip bin to take whatever I want so cool do you know the mower brand Westwood would like to know a lot about that brand
If you tried to get that hydro in the GT to go faster all it would do is trip the bypass in it and it wouldn't go anywhere....but why didn't you put a bigger wheel on the wheelbarrow....err an ag-tire for better traction LOL.
Depends on how much he overdrives it. If he does something like he did on the drag racers than yeah he'll trip it. If he doesn't go crazy on the swap than it should be fine.
