Im struggling with this video. Are you mad they are trying to protect their business and then you make a video chastising them? China will put them out of business in a second. How do I know? I imported Chinese made products for 7 years and watched them tank entire niches. Then when the company that made something popular goes away slowly, the hobby dies, nobody wants to do R&D. Nobody wants to promote. No QC it just becomes another "cobbling junk" and fixing China QC issues hobby. If $20 is the price difference that is barely anything today with inflation. When ARC dies, which is probably will with people like you promoting a Chinese company forget your high RPM and other specialized stuff. I owned a business for over a decade and you have a very simplified view of what is happening. I also been to Asia. There is no competing on price. I don't think this is right. Really enjoying your vids. But this is no good and it's very cringe.

The point of the video in it's simplest form. For 10+ years myself and others have asked ARC to make a middle ground priced version for the Dad/Hobby builder. A rod better than stock but not needing to hit 9k rpm. Rather then do it they responded to all of us with to bad buy it or shut up. That is what happens in a monopoly. Now that someone has done what the consumer has asked for they are lashing out as if we are the bad guys.

you need to tune the converter, it's locking up too soon, if you were turning 6k before the converter install but can only hit 4k after converter install than obviously the converter is what's holding it back

IDC about what YT says. I work on every type of mechanical vehicle in racing from land to air to sea... I think GEARING is your answer. Your rear sprocket is pretty small. Go up from 40T which I think you mentioned, try something close to 60T... My 212 runs with the vevor and JUGGERNAUT with a 62T rear. I get close to 60mph within an 1/8th mile. And the 212 is just a header, intake and jet. I don't know what the bike will top out at because its completely rigid and over 55mph feels darty and unsafe. Rear sprockets are cheap.

Torque converter don't like 40 tooth sprocket. I run a ghost with torque converter and factory rear sprocket and almost doing 60 with 200 lbs rider

This has been one of my debates. I have a 50 tooth we might put on to see if that changes it.

As a long time RU-vidr it's always funny to me what video triggers the Keyboard warriors. Most people use a torque Converter with a MOD2 Cam or better. A rattlesnake is bellow a MOD2 in every way. But do to the duration better than stock. That means all the other videos are guys getting 800 more RPM than me easy LOL. Now on the driven pulley yes I can move the spring back to gain some top end and we might in the next video :) Have fun and thanks for watching!
@josephwantz4035
@josephwantz4035 12 дней назад
You have to adjust the driven torque converter also you're only going to get so far with a stock torque converter you usually have to upgrade to a juggernaut to give you more RPMs with a torque converter
@derpydog1008
@derpydog1008 13 дней назад
i have the same vevor tc and the issue with knock offs is they're hit or miss on the spring strength for the driver and driven pulleys that's why some people will have a big gain in top speed and some wont. you can change the stiffness of the driven spring by changing what hole it goes in or you can get springs from comet and they'll fit in yours and depending on what color you get will determine what stiffness the spring will be. i have a Baja worrior with a stock 212 hemi with the governor and the same vevor tc with a 60T rear sprocket and i got lucky on my tc because my bike moves.
@RCGRacing
@RCGRacing 13 дней назад
Yah been reading up on this. If the holes are at the top the front is torque the rear is top speed. It's a changeable thing on the bike without much effort so we might do a few engine upgrades then track change it to see a difference. Seems they make a Yellow for top speed but the reviews are fan boyish at best unless your engine is well built.

with a cam, arent you supposed to switch up to a juggernaut driver. So you dont get limitied to around 4000 rpm range?

@MarkLoomis-y7o 13 дней назад
He's only running a rattlesnake 252 cam not enough to worry about a juggernaut. I'm running a 292 with a tav2 9200rpm around 83mph an no juggernaut

Couldn't tell if the rear pulley was getting smaller when it needed too could change the rear springs slot and the color of spring they are very adjustable same with the stall but you do loose and or gain some topend speed same as a clutch setup. Personally don't think the tq converter is faster then a 2 or 3 disc clutch. For a 6000 rpm engine it's considerable with a stock rod. More time consuming trying to get the things set up right for what distance you run. A clutch definitely kicks in better at the desired rpm then a torque converter. Torque converters usually rob power up top hence the reason they stop roughly at 6,000 rpm and doesn't gain anymore. With these little engines every 1/10 of a hp is a must. Personally wouldn't of used the torque converter. Yet you are showing the know it alls that a torque converter is really only good for hills and not drag racing. Very interesting video series!!!

NR Racing Great video Neil, and thank you for showcasing our Rattlesnake! 😎 Regarding your comment you made toward the end, here are our thoughts: Overall, we suspect it could be an issue with your carburetor/jetting more so than the cam itself. The pilot jet's circuit is about 0 to 1/4 throttle, and then the main kicks in thereafter. So if you're idling at ~2000rpm (about 1/8 throttle), and the weird noise starts happening around 2600rpm, it sounds like the problem lies in that transition from your pilot to your main. You may need to change the pilot jet, or an adjustable idle mixture screw could help. We recommend the 615 RUIING carb as it's an economy part that comes with that adjustable screw. As an additional note, it's always important to lap and seal your valves, or there may be pressure leakage that could cause erratic carb functioning. This could be contributing to the issue as well if that wasn't done!

does the pilot turn off at high rpm? if not then it does effect it. ? both work together , so much power is in the jetting, i take many days tuning, always go to fat the work backwards . and after its hot, i run stuff up a half mile hill to dial in. just saying
@RCGRacing
@RCGRacing 20 дней назад
Your Pilot jet is a constant in all RPM because it bypasses the throttle plate. The stock to the upgraded is a difference of .05mm. All variability is done with the Main jet only. THis is why most stage 1 kits never have a pilot jet.

The torque converter is gonna be a game changer once you get it set up. If you get the ebay/Amazon tc replace all the hardware and the crank bolt that comes with it is usually the wrong thread pitch i don't remember what the correct pitch was i just remember the one in the kit is wrong.

For a genuine answer not like everyone else that just hates anything to do with ai Its fine if u were to edit normally and throw in a few ai edited clips probably no one would notice but even saying ur video has anything to do with ai people wont watch it like if u want to give credit to the software developer i would just pit it way down in the description As for were the cuts r i would say have a bit more of the line up before they take off

Agreed in the future I would leave out the AI info. I used to edit and make entire race videos but that turned into a 3 hour or more hell so I stopped. But them people asked why I stopped. If this can do a decent job then I might post the extra footage this way.
