@@rachaelfleming7132 Alright! They are mostly working on creating robots or teams or robots that can go down in caverns, collapsed building and any kind of incident or event with spaces that are way too complicated for humans to go and search eventual victims and of course help them as well. They also hope to use that kind of robot team to search and map caverns on the Moon, Mars and eventually other planets or moons. From what I understand there's a hope that we can find possible living beings or fossils in caves/caverns since they are protected from the weather or impacts or debris. There's also the possibility of using such cave as a starting point for possible settlements or I suppose any kind of expedition that would require a safe place to be. The video on which we are commenting was about this team, Team Cerberus, doing the final challenge run in a competition made by DARPA, they actually won said competition and were awarded a nice 2 million US$ I suppose it imply eventual contracts with DARPA and possibly NASA or any other agency of the kind. Hope that shed some light on it all. -Have a nice day!
