Pretty much everything at firehouse is amazing. It's hands down the best sandwich shop I don't think it's even close. Their meatball sandwich is really nice too, always looks like how it did in the video
I worked at Firehouse Subs for about 4 yrs. (06'-10') and there were many times we had new customers come in inquiring about the sandwiches, I'd ask them what was their favorite sandwich and from where, and which ever establishment/sandwich they'd say, I'd help them find the sandwich that most closely came to their favorite and told them that if they didn't like it more than their "normal," then I would give them the $ back they paid for the sandwich from my own pocket. They could have lied just to get their $ back; but not one time in those 4 yrs did a customer say they liked their "normal" better. Even had a few customers come in and ask that I specifically be the one to make their sandwiches. I enjoyed working there and serving people. #HelloWelcomeToFirehouse #NewYorkSteamerFullyInvolved
@@myNEONCITY😂 The reason subway has so many toppings is to give flavor to the pre-sliced, not fresh, bland meat that they put on their sandwiches. Mayo, 🥬, 🍅, 🧅, & spicy brown mustard is enough toppings for a great tasting sandwich. Kinda like a good steak doesn't need any kind of sauce. Subway, eat fresh? Yeah right. Firehouse fresh slices their meats every morning and makes fresh salads daily. #Yummy
Bro did Quiznos dirty. Try one of their steak or chicken subs. Sometimes they even have lobster and shrimp. Their chicken carbonara is a little slice of heaven.

Yes!! I love the Hook and Ladder, the Steak and cheese and the New York Steamer! Steak and cheese was my initial Go-To, but my boyfriend ordered the New York Steamer which is something that I NEVER would have been drawn to, and OMG…SOO good!! I We just alternative between the three and we’ll both order two of the three footlongs we want that day and just eat half of each. With all of that being said, the meatball sub from Subway is way better than the meatball sub at Firehouse. Case closed for me on that one.
@@kalekonasexton84 Lakeland. Dang. I’m north of Orlando and they’ve all been gone from over here for quite some time. I had a buddy that worked there in high school and we used to get TONS of subs for free. It was pretty solid back then, don’t know how the quality is now but judging how most everything else in the restaurant industry has gone downhill and from this video, I’d assume it can’t be anywhere near what it used to be.
@Jamarvin B I don't do either but I'm the opposite I could see Lettuce on like a chicken Parm sandwhich but I couldn't see pickle. You sold me though imma try it one of these days
As someone who worked at subway it's all pre packaged meat and the knife we use to wipe sauce on your sub sits in old nasty water next to the counter and we reuse the same knife same water all day you'll start to see mold floaties from all the sauces mixed together in the water 1st shift don't change it makes 2nd shift do it and if they don't then next morning shift changes it

MY NEIGHBORHOOD SUBWAY HAS AN ACTUAL SUBWAY ARTIST 💯BRUH IS A PERFECTIONIST AND CLEAN AF. TAKES PRIDE IN MAKING YOU A GOOD QUALITY SUB🙏🏿I ALWAYS SHOW HIM LOVE ❤
Firehouse is definitely hands down the best sub place I’ve ever had. Subway was always on some bs with limiting my toppings. Quiznos.. I haven’t had them since I was a kid. Honestly forgot they still existed. Haven’t seen a commercial from them in years lol😅
Nah assuming you don’t have a bad location, their subs are pretty good. Their chipotle sauce, sweet onion teriyaki sauce, and peppercorn ranch go a long way to making anything taste great
A tossed chicken tender toasted sub!!!! I use to make them when I worked there.. As for the Meat Ball sub, I would make my own and toast it with all my favorite toppings! Pub Subs are the Best!
I worked at a subway for over a year…and I’d say the meatball sub is probably one of the freshest things there. It’s always at a resting simmer in sauce, and it’s completely covered when not being scooped into. A good secondary is the tuna, which comes sealed in packets and has mayo added to it in-shop in the morning and shift swap. Lettuce is pre-shredded, but the tomato onion and bell pepper are cut on site.
I worked Subway, when the tuna was canned, and we had to open the can, and portion it out, in cups. I don't think we put our knives in water. We simply cleaned them off, and went to the next customer, but we only used them to cut bread. I was fired, because my coworker stole the safe drop. Another coworker was robbed and murdered, in the store. I think that was actually before I started working there, but just don't remember. It's been at least 20 years.
