Robert implies in the opening that the only reason we question charters (and not privates) is because the former serve low-income students. But that's not the only difference; charter schools receive taxpayer money whereas private schools don't.
My daughter is in SA for 3 years, the only thing I have to say is, if you are a parent that you don’t like to help your children with homework this school is not for you, I am so happy with the school, my friends child and parents surprised how ahead my daughter, even a tutor tells me what they are learning is a 3rd or 4th grade in the regular public school. My daughter is in 2nd grade. Plus the after school programs they have are the best.
I went to boarding school in the uk after growing up in Canada and Alabama where expectations are vastly different. I was so frightened of screwing up not on purpose but given my different history. It appalls me to see how butt hurt kids are these days and consequences for actions or inactions. I want to throttle them all! And I was a rebellious punk rocker by the way. I’ve been expelled twice but that’s the huge difference. I got done for relatively minor infractions which by today’s sad standards is a lot less than what’s tolerated now.
