The sad thing is if Shiv, Kendall and Roman joined forces, they'd be formidable. But they're all too broken to realize that. Logan always wins because he knows what buttons to push to divide and conquer.
Exactly and I feel like the show is not trying to say Logan is some kind of goat or badass, we see how erratic his decision making business wise can be, but he keeps winning because the show needs him to as he represents the corrupt people in power. The cyclical nature of abuse in the family ends up happening outside of it too
It's a bit funny to think a lot of people, myself included, were expecting Kendall to be fully unleashed this season, like he was going beast mode for his war with Logan. Season 3 made me feel silly for thinking that was a real possibility. It's frustrating to watch and somehow even more cringe than "L to the OG", but it's realistic.
Kendall is great, but he will never love himself enough to step up to his potential. Forever the ultimate self saboteur, acts over confident to mask his pain. Yet when he is about to get a win, he sabotages it cause he thinks it is too good to be true.
Also, big mistake on the siblings to not go with Ken. What the hell were they thinking when they said they wanted to be ceos and not him? He started the thing. And it's crazy because Shiv didn't decide to join because of Tom and Roman because of Gerri and look how that turned out.. They certainly will regret this
Kendall was wrong for doing the Nirvana thing? Yes. But it was the type of stuff a 7 year old would do and it was pretty harmless since only the people at Waystar( who support Shiv) saw. But she reacted by exposing every thing he hates about himself to the world. Brings back to mind when he asked her to take care of him because he didn't know if he would still be alive if it wasn't for his dad. First she told Logan to send him to jail and now this. I really like Shiv as a character but things like these make me happy for what happened in 3x9
Hi Jimmy, don't feel bad for Tom. He's one of those reptiles that will be around way past the extinction of humanity. But Kendall is his own worst enemy. It breaks my heart.
You’ve witnessed Tom starting to play his own game. He’s moved from the checkers board to the chess board. He knows this family & Shiv don’t give a shit about him when it comes to themselves.
i think she loves him but in the the toxic way that logan teached love. She needs him to feel superior too and he is the escapegoat for all the rage she wishes to throw at her dad but can't.
I can't watch farther because I have stopped at 3x3. Not in the right state of mind to believe i can handle Kendall's fall (it's not a spoiler, I don't know how it ends buuut we all know how it ends) without depression... but good luck to you. How is Kendal being a mess immiscible w/Kendal being human? Humans are messy AF. If anything, Kendal being a mess puts me more on his side. Which is why I’m also rooting for Tom. They both need serious therapy but they’re the most empathizable characters on the show
I'd like you to react to The Wire if you never seen it. You are going to love it. It's about street gangs, cops, politic and fiends. Strong dialogue, brilliant cast, best plot ever. If you liked Succession and Game Of Thrones, it's your next show to react to.
i always thought its funny that Shyv is apparently seen as "woke" and a leftist when really she's just as bad as Logan or anyone else in the family, i cant think of a single thing about her that i feel is "leftist" or "woke".
Seriously. She even made it clear she disliked the leftist policies of the Sanders stand-in she worked for in S1 and planned to push him to the centre.
I'm exactly at this episode right now and i agree with you that I'm completely invested in each and everyone of these awful, awful contemptuous assholes.

@@chance757 By HBO/the writers. I binged the entire series recently thinking Shiv was older than Roman too, only to find out afterwards that Shiv is the youngest. XD
it really frustrated me that Kendall didn't grow from the first season at all. In fact, it seems to me that he's gotten even worse. Always acting like a coked up maniac like you said. I guess Gus was right. "Never trust a drug addict."
