A lot of times being patriotic in America gets you spit at but like the song says there's no place I'd rather be. I've grown up feeling pride every time I hear any song that describes how great America is even with all our problems and this one is one of the best!!!
We’re truly blessed. It’s easy to lose sight with all the negativity flying around, but songs like this help to remind us why we love our country so much. And yes, this is an original.
I really don't understand why that is in the UK. You guys have plenty to be proud of too. Both of our countries (hell, all countries)have dark parts of their past. It's the here and now to celebrate. The more I watch your reactions, in music, comedy, culture, etc, I can safety say that Americans and Brits are far MORE alike than we are different. 😉
There are still many of us who are patriotic and very proud to be Americans. And we have those that try to slam this country also. But i say it is a big world out there and we may not be perfect here, but we come damn close! Truly blessed!
My folks raised three kids 2 girls and 1 boy…I’m very proud to say all three of us served in the military with pride. Can’t imagine any where else I’d want to live. My maternal grandparents immigrated here in 1907. I remember my grandma telling how lucky I was to live here. I’ve never forgotten her saying that to me.
I'm sure somebody else will probably have brought this up, but if you haven't seen it yet, look for their 2020 version of God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the USAF Singing Sergeants. Absolutely fabulous.
This is an original, written by Tim Foust & Chris Chatham - but waaaaay back in 2009...Home Free didn't make a recording of it until 2021. We are patriotic, but I've seen on (American) TV the LAST NIGHT AT THE PROMS, and that is pretty patriotic - Land of Hope & Glory (which in the US is known as the "graduation march" when you receive your diploma they play Hope & Glory (just the chorus though) as students come to the stage & dias to get their diploma from the school President, and also Jerusalem and then finish with a rousing version of God Save the Queen.

Well there you go! If you wish there were patriotic songs about the UK with lyrics that show how proud you are to be living in YOUR country, maybe you should try writing some songs that do just that. Maybe you are just the man to get that started. Maybe that's your calling!
The most patriotic song that Home Free has done imo,is God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and Air Force Singing Sergeants. My husband ( who used to be in the Army) can’t stand it anymore because they played Lee Greenwood’s song everywhere; but I love it , and get choked up every timeI hear it. The Home Free one with Lee Greenwood/ Singing Sergeants is even more special to me. There are those that throw back patriotism in your face sometimes, mostly because of “wokeness”, even politicians. It is so stupid.

You are not the only person I have heard say this about the EU, such a shame, should be singing the pride in your country from the roof tops and feel proud of it. We do love our country and all though right now we are at division with our brothers and sisters, just let someone hurt any of us and the others will be right there. No one need ever doubt American brotherhood and kinship. This is an original song by them.

A LOT of Americans love America and "we're not giving up this dream"! I believe so many of us will fight for her as long as we still have any fight left in us. It's really sad the state we're in right now because of certain so-called leaders but prayers are still going up for this nation and other nations and I believe God will honor these prayers from the faithful.

Tim, the bass, wrote this about 10 years ago and they decided to do a video and add it to their patriotic album. It’s so good. There was also a Scottish reactor a couple of years ago who said the same thing & he'd get so excited & even have tears in his eyes when he'd watch Patriotic American songs. My ancestor came to Jamestown and on the Mayflower-the past 5 years (really since 2015) I've thought often about how I'd love to apologize to the Queen and ask you to take back our colony...we sure need help. It’s still the same country if you go about living your life and don’t pay attention to the news or SM. I only say that because all the bad news was literally making me sick so I took almost a year off of SM and am now about 3 years into not watching the news. There’s not much I can do about what they report (many times purposefully erroneous) anyways, so I picked my mental health. I’m so much better off for it. Just a suggestion.

I love this song! I am so proud to be an American, and, yes, we have problems, but what country doesn't. If you liked this patriotic song, I think you would really enjoy HF singing "My Country Tis of Thee". It's not requested very often. It's a simple song (I learned it in 3rd grade), but HF does a beautiful job with great harmonies. Adam even sings a few "solo" parts. Thank you for your kind words about America and our patriotic songs. I've been to the UK, and the people I talked to were always very kind. It's too bad the UK, (or other countries), doesn't have more songs showing pride for their country. By the way, "My Country Tis of Thee" is the same melody as " God Save The Queen".

I certainly consider myself a proud patriotic American but unfortunately we have a serious case of toxic patriotism where a significant portion of so called patriots turn a blind eye to our countries problems and pretend like it has no issues or a troubled past we’re still contending with today. I’m a patriot who can also call out my countries wrongs but still fly the flag loud and proud. It’s possible to do both but for some reason people gravitate to the extremes either really being overly proud to a fault or completely ashamed to even be an American.

The UK is a great country Craig. We do have so many patriots here - God, Family, Country. It’s becoming more heartbreaking every day here though. It seems our schools are indoctrinating our youth to believe that we are nothing but racist imperialists who have done nothing but enslave and rob the world for our own benefit. Nothing that depends on humankind will ever be perfect but America is, I believe, one of the greatest and most successful social experiments the world has ever known. To be honest, Americans would probably react more positively to a patriotic British song than some people in Britain would. 😄 We love our cousins across the pond! You all have an incredible history and every reason to be proud of it. America wouldn't be what it is without British common law and documents such as the Magna Carta and the Charter of the Forest. Our founders based our Constitution on them and the Enlightenment theory of natural rights.
If you get a chance, I've got a few suggestions... Adam Chance's "Cover me up" - "Undivided", and "Hillbilly Bone", gosh, there are so many great songs!
Americans are very aware of how very young this country is. We are a blip on the screen of history. England has been around a thousand years, and will always be here. France, Germany they will always be here. To be American is a "mind set". We crave freedom to live life beholden to no man. We sense this idea hanging by a thread right now. These songs are reminders to us to hang on to our freedom. It does not come free. Every generation has to decide if we are to continue. It's so easy to become complacent. That's the time when the Marxists, the globalists, the greens, climate change etc. show up. They sniff around and have picked up the scent of weakness in Americans.
We as Americans regardless of race get along fine. It's the so called bosses would stay out of it.. we are one big family. And all families a have disagreements. But we all love our home, and nation and will fight for it if need be.

I disagree i find overly patriotic songs have a propaganda feel to them or like there trying to sell me something. Obviously I respect all the veterans out there and all the amazing things the generation before us accomplished but I feel a 3 to 5 minute song requires a massive oversimplification of things that shouldn't be that oversimplified.
