I feel like people nowadays or new Kpop fans don't really know or realize how big BigBang was and how much influences they have for gen 3 and gen 4 groups. People don't realize how Bigbang changed everything. Yes BTS now is the most most popular, the biggest group in the world, but before that, Bigbang is THE group and they reached a point that no other Korean could ever achieve.

While i understand if they don't know much about BB since they are new to kpop, BUT when a super popular group like BTS puts so much respect and looked up to BB, that means BB is not just some group! You should've gotten the clue just from how much Yoongi get nervous and praises Taeyang. Meaning he is a big deal!

동의합니다. 만일 빅뱅이 그 당시 흐름을 바꾸지 못 했다면(sm이 선두로 가고 yg와 jyp는 중소기업일 시절) 현재 한국 아이돌은 아직도 세계적으로 나아가지 못 했을 거라고 생각합니다... 빅뱅은 스스로 프로듀싱을 하면서 대중적으로 인기도 있으면서 전 세계 패션에 영향력을 끼친 최초의 한국 아이돌 그룹었습니다. bts가 지금 가고 있는 길은 빅뱅과 매우 유사하며 그래서 존경하는 선배인 것입니다.

Yeah, what I think is the most important fact is that they created a lot of the standards in kpop that is followed by the whole kpop industry now. They opened the door in kpop for rappers, lightsticks, mini albums, fashion, world tours, hairstyles, songwritting, producing, composing, and even using the world "maknae", and now all of this is a standard in kpop. They were huge in a time were Kpop was still being made what it is today as an industry, and that's why their legacy is so huge and important. The 3rd gen globalized an industry that was created by the first gen but molded by the 2nd gen. There is a reason why they were the first idols to be respected as artists and musicians in SK, they really forced the whole country to appreciate idols and recognized that they are in fact talented people.

@@svvemuri this fanwar started a lot of time ago, when bts were still rookies, bigbang fandom really hated on them, bts fans weren't as big as they are now so they couldn't deffend them like now, also there r some bigbang member's families that accused bts of plagiarism and supported hate posts to them (the "plagiarism" thing was bc of a background in a perfomance, I can't remember when it was)

New kpop stans have no idea what BIGBANG have done to the whole idol manual. They broke barriers, they were the rebels that changed the system and allowed artists to have freedom to create their own music and that's why most 3rd and 4th gen artists look up to them. They may not be popular like BTS now but we cannot discredit what BIGBANG did from giving idols their own freedom to compose their own songs to the creation of lightsticks to represent their own fandom. You cannot speak abt the history of korean music industry without mentioning BigBang.

Their group as 5, as solo artist, and as subunits dominated Kpop for 8-9 consecutive years since just their SECOND YEAR, PRODUCING THEIR OWN MUSIC. If it wasn't BB, then it's GD himself, or GD/TOP, or Taeyang himself taking turns garning major accolades while Daesung was wildly successful in Japan lol

BIGBANG is the GOAT of K-Pop... They walked so the generations after them could run. The amount of barriers that they broke for idols and K-Pop in general made them immensely respected. To date, you'll never find another group, even from that era, which has the entire industry gushing over them and citing them as influences. They were the WHOLE package from rapping, singing, self-control, live performances, fashion, attitude. Dominated K-Pop for a decade both as a group and as individual members. Simply the greatest.

Taeyang is so humble as a person and has always been the carer for all his members. He has always loved to cook/eat and all his members will tell you - his food is great and the lov ehe gives when preparing the food has always filled them up, even when they had nothing. Taeyang would make it work. He is a father now and he would consider Jimin and Suga like younger brothers, so its up to him to look after them too. To get an ivite to his home is massize as he has always been so private with his personal life.

TAEYANG followed the producer, TEDDY, that has worked with him most of his career. Teddy is now the head of The Black Label, so, TAEYANG followed him. I loved the dream goals of TAEYANG. 1. Be someone his wife/child are proud of 2. Help those he has worked with over the past 17 years 3. PERFORM ON STAGE WITH HIS MEMBERS - BIGBANG! Daesung has already said Bigbang is forvever, GD also said this year that Bigbang would do work again... Just need to make sure TOP comes back safely from going to the moon (there will need to be some time to pass for Seungri .. for him to get confidence back .. but I know his members will make it happen - "Nothing is impossible baby.. lights, camera, action!). I loved this interview - it was really special.

aside from Teddy the Black Label also has Taeyangs literal best friend Soonho (who lived with Taeyang when Taeyang broke up with his now wife before Taeyang eventually got married) who works as a manager for the Black Label.

Honestly, many are just interested in SUGA's music, not any talking shows. Many are just waiting for him to release music again. However, I've seen some large accounts react to this. One moved the reaction over to Twitch from youtube. Like someone said, some are also reacting on Patreon. As a SUGA/Agust D fan, I loved this interview.

This interview was wonderful, looking at every point of what they talked about, those who know the history of BB know that they went through all these things too in a way. And talking about Taeyang he was never a talker. And about all the content we have of him alone we can say that he was very comfortable because he talked a lot, he probably really meant it when he said that he noticed things in common with him. As a VIP and huge YB fan I really loved the interview.

I think the reason why Bigbang was such an inspiration for budding idols during those times was because just like everybody else, Bigbang came from nothing and made their way up through prayer, hard work, extraordinary talent and a whole lot of passion. They even said a couple of times that they were born to perform.Their debut stage is a testament to that, as if they are not rookies at that time. The forming of Bigbang was a reality show a lot of people were able to watch. Same goes with their debut stage, its here on youtube😊 GD - started singing and has been visible on tv since he was 6, he started the lightstick trend - the 1st lightstick in kpop was designed by him because he wants them to see their fans/identify their fans when theyre onstage Started calling BB's fandom as VIP because for them, theyre Very Important People He started the trend of writing their own songs/producing their owns songs, which was not the blueprint back then Through his leadership, BB became pivotal to kpop being introduced to the world, from brand engagements and to his numerous collabs one of which is with Missy Elliot in 2013 Taeyang - started training with GD since they were teens, doing endless training with no assurance of them having a debut Top- started out as an underground rapper with zero background in dancing Daesung- worked his ass off to prove to his dad who was against him pursuing a music career by juggling school and training at the same time Sr - started out as choreographer in his small hometowm away from Seoul I remember in 1 interview where GD and Taeyang told their story of them living in a very tight space as trainees with not enough food. The 5 of them recall having to share a snack by ration just so they have food in their stomach for training the next day. They also have to live off practicing in a very small studio. Fast forward to present, Black Pink's studio is huge in YG. Its so nice to watch this interview, the way they respect each other is so admirable to watch🥹

Fanboy!Yoongi will never be anything but adorable. Taeyang is one of the few people who could understand how BTS feels right now, breaking into solo work and preparing to enlist. He's also such a sweetheart. I think these two formed a real connection, and it was beautiful to see. I love this show and the way Yoongi talks to people, the questions he asks, and the way he manages to get people to go deep for their answers, probably without even trying. I hope they get to be close friends, because they can offer one another a perspective nobody else could share. I think it's beautiful, also, how Yoongi loves his brothers, and how Taeyang loves his. That's a wonderful thing. I can't wait for Taeyang's album! Hopefully D-3 will on its way, too. It would be awesome if Yoongi or Jimin got Taeyang to feature on one of their songs... but that might be wishful thinking. But you never know - miracles can happen, after all. I also have to say that this episode and their mutual respect just shows how idiotic fan wars can be.

Teddy, Kush and Vince(Joe Rhee) at the TBL have worked with Taeyang for all of his career, so it was just about going where you feel the most comfortable. And he’ll be able to have more creative freedom.

Big Bang is like Korea's 'national' idol if that makes sense. If there is an olympian in the Kpop industry who represent the country and widely beloved by all genders and generations at the same time, that would be Big Bang. Its mainly because BB's music was widely popular all across the country. every Korean can sing at least a couple of songs by BB at Karaoke and they know the names of all BB members. They were just that popular in Korea. Their music was beloved by the general public, not just kpop fans or teenage girls, which is very rare for idol groups. Even though BB's reputation is damaged due to many unfortunate incidents in the past, BB can easily top all the Korean music charts if they decide to release an album now. They are on a break for various reasons, but their real power comes from their music.

New kpop fans wont understand but bigbanf revolutionized kpop. The kpop new gen stans know today has completely been redefined by bigbang. Thats what we mean by influence, yes bts has achieved more global recognition but they didnt change much in kpop culture/genre itself. Before bigbang there were no lightsticks, no selfwriting or self producing, no colored hair, no high fasion clothing, no rappers in groups, they literally invented the whole kpop culture today. They became the standardized model/manual for a successful kpop group which every group after were made to strategically follow by their company including bts.

More people need to know about Taeyang! He was Jimin's idol. He's from BIG BANG, the original KPOP Boy Band, before the BTS came along. Taeyang is a member of BIGBANG They debuted in 2006 and are considered "The Kings of KPOP" for all the things they have created to modernize KPOP over the years. TAEYANG is a legend in the KPOP world I always love him!😍😍😍 He’s the reason I got into BIGBANG and kpop. My most fav was instantly Taeyang with GD. Check out Wedding Dress, I Need a Girl, and Eyes Nose Lips by Taeyang!

Maybe we will never ever understand How Suga Really Feels at that Moment coz we are not Him and we are Not Korean. Bigbang is Crazy Big and a Syndrome. They are important not only in korean Music but also in Korean Culture and Arts. Even without Activities now, People Still Talks About them. We all might see BTS as someone Big. But in Korea, Specifically, Bigbang are Respected Artist. Like an Artist Artist. Thats why I love this Conversation, Suga asking questions about him doing solo, his concerns coz its important to him and I know theres also Pressure. BTS has made a Mark as A Group, The Best Group Ever, But as Individual Artist they are still very new to it and are trying to Make a Mark which Bigbang, taeyang at that, was able to do. BigBang is still more popular than BTS in Korea. Especially when looking at the members one by one, Koreans know the name BTS, but when it comes to the members, they don't. Taeyang is a much more popular singer than Suga in Korea so it's hilarious to see new Kpop fans surprised that Suga talks like that

You guys should check out more of Taeyang's music, like EYES, NOSE & LIPS, and WEDDING DRESS (the song that Jimin has been playing on piano for more than 8 years 😆), RINGA LINGA (Dance performance mv) and WAKE ME UP. Fyi, you won't know this from his appearance in the mv, but Taeyang is happily married with a 3 months old baby boy🥰 The lady on the backdrop banner in his Eyes, Nose & Lips mv is his wife. Also, you guys should check out Bigbang's music, that are so many I can't name them one by one 😁 Their music is distinctively ahead of time other than other 2nd gen Kpop groups. according to taeyang’s recent interview, I think moving to its subsidiary means you’re gaining more control of your own work because an artist does not have to go through the process of getting approvals after another from the directors but it also means lesser budget for their music and music video production. taeyang said he had finished his recent song for almost two years ago but was only able to really get things moving and published his work once he moved to the black label.

Jimin said he loved watching Suchwita. Like Yoongi, Jimin must have a lot of giggles and a full heart because Youngbae talked about him a lot, a ton throughout the conversation! 6:30 BLACKLABLE is like a sub-company under YG it's like a promoted position especially for TEDDY(BLACKLABLE CEO) since he work for YG for sooo long(He's 1 of 1st gen group of YG 1TYM) and very talented as a producer. so he can just produce song for YG or in the name of YG and funding problem just give it to YG to do it. and as you can see from this song TEDDY is a producer. and he produced for many 2nd-3rd gen of YG such as 2NE1,BLACKPINK,some of BIGBANG solo song and every song is FIRE. and many of YG artist who tend to became a producer and good enough can get this treatment too. such as PSY(He can get but he rejected it and build his own company P-nation). Suengri BIGBANG ex-member had a company under YG too(YGX Ent.) but because scandal so he leave entertainment industry. and YG have some other industries business too. so they build a sub-company to give specific role to a specific company. such as YGK-plus(Model-Actor company),Moonshot(Cosmetic company). So to make long story short. If it's a song under YG so it's YG responsible as an executive producer. and If it's BLACKLABLE it's TEDDY as an executive producer. that's all.

I think taeyang went to blacklabel because since recent events it was hard for the 5 members of bigbang to stay under yg knowing there wouldnt be any bigbang activities, so they would be bound to their contract. Leaving the label (but not the group) gives them freedom to pursue own paths until they can continue bigbang. Taeyang is a grounded person and feels comfortable within yg since hes been with them since 2000’s, the blacklabel is owned by the producers bigbang started out with which are also close friends of them : teddy and choice37, i think he wanted a fresh start but still a comfort zone which is why he went to his friends in blacklabel. You can compare them to the beatles and onedirection, yes onedirection was incredibly successful, but the beatles literally defined pop as a genre, so dont downplay taeyangs influence just because hes not as globally recognized as bts

YGE are run by board members where as Blacklabel-Teddy has full control. Taeyang have worked with Teddy on all of his solo projects and he want to continue down that path. He value loyalty

The old producers at YG runs the subsidiary The Blacklabel now...he has a close relationship with Teddy. AiRPLAY and Choice37 and mostly Teddy is still in charge of Blackpink a YG Entertainment artists. He just wanted to start fresh I guess without really leaving YG completely....his bestfriend GD is still with YG.

Bigbang have been working with Teddy (ceo of black label) since debut. Since Teddy in the Black Label , its wiser to stay in the Black label than YG because Teddy helped Taeyang doing musics a lot. Teddy is well respected producer in Korean musics. Obviously many artist want to work with him. Facts: Teddy have been producing Blackpink albums since their debut,same goes to 2NE1 and BIGBANG.

6:30 "why he moved to Blacklabel" I think it's bcs even when he was still in YG, the producers he worked with the most is Teddy, Teddy produces a lot of BigBang, Taeyang, 2NE1 songs/album like he does with Blackpink now. And he moved to Teddy's label is just a natural thing for him, it's still YG sub-label, but "old YG'" environment that really familiar with him and he used to works with.

Big Bang is in a very special place in Korea. Even if you dont like Big Bang for whatever reason, you listen to their music, sing their songs, and even if you are not a fan of Big Bang, you still want to go to their concert. Even Big Bang haters sing their song at Karaoke when hanging out or partying with their friends or coworkers because there is always someoone in the crowd who want to sing BB's songs. Big Bang was popular even among Korean men, who normally dont like male idol groups, and BB is the only male idol group whom Korean soldiers in the military memorize all the lyrics and sing along when their music is on. BB got huge in Korea not because of their looks, visuals, or clean image but because of their music and perfect live performance at concert. BB is know for their music, live concert, and mad stage presence. Thay is what they are known for, so ironically even haters listen to their music. That is BB and that is why all these 3rd and 4th gen Kpop idol groups grew up listening to BB's music and idolize them in their heart. BB doesnt have good kids image and that is not what they are known for. They are just superstars and dont care at all about keeping their public image because their music and performance is what sells. Big Bang is probably the only idol group that can come back and release an album and still sweep the entire Korean charts even after all those years of hiatus, scandals, rumors, and public criticism. Even those haters who hate BB will listen to their music once they release a group album. Above all, the Korean public just love their music and no one can deny it. That is the real power of BB, and the reason why Yoongi or Jimin or JK behaves the way they do. G-dragon of BB is the reason why Jungkook wanted to become a singer to begin with. I am waiting for JK collaborating with GD one day. Then JK will make his dream come true just like Jimin did
