This movie spoke volumes to me, a mental war to escape a physical prison... the Matrix trilogy spoke to me in some of the same manner I really need to see a sequel to this universe
"We don't portray strong women in movies" This is a strong female-led movie not because they are solely female (the story is tragic though), but because they are strong characters who happen to be female. Also if there was ever anime adaptation that was good it needs to be directed by Zack
Worst potrayal of strong women, she has a fucking AR versus people with swords, and dont mention the women wearing skirts fighting in fucking hell. Movie is pure dogshit, please never make a adaptation.
@@jagerczbr it isn't perfect but my God this is very far from the worse portrayel of strong women, especially since this is all essentially happening in her head
So was my brain, so much emotions. Could've spent the whole time watching a movie on The samurais, clockwork Germans, knights and orcs, and robots..... But nooooo I have to watch this... Hurts my eyes especially when anime could do better
@Meditatin_Bry layer 1, prison lobotomy, accepted her faith to escape male oppression Layer 2, brothel set up to be raped, convinced rapist to consent Layer 3, inocent war victim, turned into action hero
@@grahamcreese5665 Fuck you for dragging your homophobic bullshit into this. I was so genuinely in agreement with you too. The LGBT community loves this movie cuz its metaphors were things we so closely relate too. If anything the crap critics that shit on this masterpiece were most likely str8 women-hating assholes
Actually, according to the producers, the whole assault and shooting scene was thoroughly planned with some good special ops guys. And so, it looks fcking awesome.
Their tactics at the base level is actually legit. They warn each other when they're reloading and when they're up. And the clear corners and take CQB with proper security and stacks. Everyone is taught CQB differently but what they did as a foundation was correct and believable. Sure, the flipping and outrageous gunfight was crazy, but the basics on what these tactics were built on is solid
I like to imagine that this is what the fight in the hellmouth could have been in buffy when all the potentials were activated. Just with more people involved...
Well first it's such a joke. 1. Three big giant dudes with big ass weapons get killed. 2. WW1 Germans get out right destroyed in a matter of mins. 3. Dragon, knights and orc creatures get ass handed to them in mins. 3. Robots get their ass whooped. 4. The girls are never hurt until that dude manager or whatever kills them irl.
KRiS Gonzales i like this movie but i fuckin hate people who use the whole “you don’t like it cause you don’t understand it” bullshit, its not that hard to understand the damn movie the message is clear as daylight
Mr. Sound-Bot people keep saying that because others really DONT understand it. Most people like spoon fed, straight forward messages. Not subliminal messages that force them to think. It’s quite simple, but most people are simple.
I understand it and I still don't like it ... U don't need to involve an squad of thots/school girls to fighting. 1. Three tall ass giants (beginning) who can just kill you with a smack of their weapon. 2. Fucking WW1? Looks like a fucking joke. 3. Knights, orc creatures and dragon.... Another fucking joke. 4. Robots and metro looking city type future shit. It's stupid. I rather watch an entire movie of the knights, orcs and dragons than the entire movie. Also regardless if it's her dream... Sorry so called "Will power/her strength?" Yeah the strength of everyone not getting hurt or scratched at all during fighting enemies also doing matrix dodging and flips. Really overused. Director could've taken some time to actually make it better if the movie wasn't such a joke when potraying something.
Seen it once, understood it. Wished I haven't really. Also I seen the backgrounds and stories on each enemy they faced. Three samurais, the Germans, the knights and orcs, the robots. I was interested in them alot more than the whole movie.
@@koreancowboy42 Your comments proves you didn't understand it, it's literally their imagination, of course it doesn't make sense. The girls are reimagining themselves as action heroes to escape the terrible reality they're living in wtf lol
I remember people always complaining about like, the fact that they aren’t wearing armor and how stylized everything is but I always got it because this is basically all in her head, it’s her fantasy world basically that she uses to escape.
Man, this movie would have been great if the story was just about some girls doing anime shit. Instead it was about what it's about, decidedly not anime content. I mean this action scene is top notch. Could you imagine this style of combat scene in something like a zombie movie, seems like that would be badass.
I don't know why, but this reminds me allot of what a Destiny movie/ live-action "strike" scene would look like against the Hive. You've got your fireteam of 3 guardians, being dropped-in to fight their way into the enemy lair to secure an objective w/ a "boss" at the end. The medieval theme and color scheme of this scene give me serious Dreadnaught/Crota vibes. For all you destiny players out there, tell me you don't see it...
I wonder how much LSD the maker of this movie had to take to all of a sudden clap his hands and say lets get the orcs from lord of the rings and some chicks who fight dragons and put them together
