A civil war has been raging in Sudan for over a year. On one side is the military junta. On the other is a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces, or RSF. Caught in the middle are the common people, many of whom are starving. About 18 million Sudanese people are facing acute food insecurity. 5 million are on the brink of starvation. Reports say some people have resorted to eating cats. Others have been boiling leaves and drinking the broth. And some are even digging up soil and eating that to survive. And the next few months could be worse, now that Sudan's lean period between harvests has begun.

Hunger Deaths And Malnutrition Sidelined in India, Especially In Jharkhand. Hunger deaths are rampant in India, especially in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. A major reason for this is the unavailability of government rations. Some deaths in Jharkhand in the last five years have left many serious questions about the government facilities and system reaching the poor and tribals living in abject poverty. The death of 11-year-old Santoshi is one such story; she died due to the lack of food (rice). Her death in September 2017 left the entire society shocked. The news was not just limited to Jharkhand alone but spread like wildfire even internationally where it was described as shameful for the country. Koyali Devi, Santoshi’s mother, a resident of Simdega district, had informed that her death was on account of starvation. The family was not able to get the government ration for months as they were unable to get their ration card linked with the Aadhar card.

Only when one has no morsel till one's tummy starts stinging with HCL burn, does one ever come to know and realize the value of FOOD. Personal perspective. Sudan was the largest country in Africa but it was split because of Britian and the Arabs. The Arabs wanted all of north Sudan. Even here in America where there's an abundance of food, I stopped at one child because its too expensive to have children and even though there's free food programs, you be feeding your child processed and GMO foods which causes so many disabilities and illnesses, the greatest one being cancer. Why are people in the comment section complaining about Sudanese people having children like there are no children in Gaza or else where there is conflict. When its Africa someone is always complaining about something but else where you want to show that your human and care so much. Its sickening

This is a fresh war in sudan . When there was war in abiye sudan, UN deployed different countries to try and stop the war until south sudan got independent. Don't condemn UN it does try its best to help .

For those asking why gaza is in focus, but not sudan. Gaza has Palestinians and they claim the Jerusalem and the Muslims of the Islamist state want Jerusalem to legitimise their claim of being world muslim leader. Right now Saudi has that title because of Macca and madina being present there as well as their riches. Sudanise muslims and the Muslims of china or anywhere else don't matter to them for that reason. So much for muslim brotherhood, these hypocrites would sell their mother for power, some Muslims far away is a joke to them.
