My goodness gracious. The last match with Tempest and Apex Sun was one of the best out there. So far the whole competition looks stellar, and we haven't even seen HF yet! Keep up the good work production team!
What a fantastic start to the open division! A few miscellaneous thoughts: -Any team from the house of Apex remains a force to be reckoned with, but this feels like the first real sign of vulnerability from Sun. We're so accustomed to seeing them absolutely dominate that seeing matches this close is a thrilling and refreshing surprise, and just goes to show how much the rest of the field has had to elevate to their level -Tempest have some absolute weapons at their disposal - Ky absolutely lives up to the hype that was circulating pre-release, and Hunter and Joe are continuing to perform at a high level. Wish we saw more of Sean, especially during that last match, and feels like they could use one or two more reliable back-benchers to reduce the burden on their starting 3, but this is maybe the best their roster has ever looked -speaking of the best their roster has ever looked, SoFlo have definitely gotten themselves out of the dynamic they had at USA6 where there was a seeming overreliance on Raul/Tony. Jonathan remains a powerhouse, and Gabe, Josh, and especially Michaella were great additions that did some impressive work here. They caught a few bad breaks, but could give other teams a lot of problems in the playoffs. -And, speaking of catching a few bad breaks, this was a very tough group for Voltz to enter WCT in. You could absolutely tell that there was a high level of athleticism amongst the team that was just let down by lack of quad experience. Still very cool to see an entirely new country/continent getting involved in the sport, and hopefully gives them the experience to show up new and improved in the future! -Joey Adrian might be the best US co-commentator to date, super articulate in the moment and lots of really good insight into the strategy and technique throughout 🔥 Again, great start to the open Pan-Ams, really looking forward to the remainder of these groups now!
Since the beginning of the episode, I was rooting for Apex Sun but in the final match, at some point, I caught myself wishing for Tempest to win. Such a nail-biter. Respect to Ky, 50% strength of the Tempest Team.
Even though Voltz suffered a lot in this tournament, it's clear they have a lot of potential - their movement is really clean at places like 40:10 and 42:19, they just lack the quad knowledge to put the skill into practice
Joey Adrian is great on the mic as a commentator. Tag expert vibes. Nothing against Dan Dawson, but I would love to have Joey and Greg Ball as the English commentators for WCT 6. - - - - - [Spoilers] The skill level for tag in the US is definitely rising fast. First Dexterity Depot losing in Sudden Death to Sun (WCT6USA), now Tempest. Ky Baldwin has established himself as another powerhouse of the open league. And it is vindicating to see Soflo stomp the newbies. It seems like Soflo is always losing, but they perform consistently, and are not bad at all.
Wow, have i missed this! New and improved Tempest maniacs - after the US Championship i was gingerly hoping they'd be ready to oppose Apex, but that sweat they got was beyond my wildest expectations, still, hoping to see more of the lineup involved on the Tempest's part next time this treat (to all our eyes) happens - the stamina certainly did them in, sadly. Also going to root for the Soflo - amazing energy, and even more amazing Michaela 😍
As a tempest fan, this was a helluva roller coaster of emotions. SPOILERS-our match against SoFlo AND our match against Apex Sun had my heart rate going through the roof
I think the mistake Tempest made was in sudden death. They should've sent Hunter to chase, he's the better chaser and Ky was just on the quad before. And then send Ky to evade. Could've ended different like this.
Watched this on my projector. Did not expect such a nailbiter for the last match! Would have appreciated a replay for Devin's tag at the end 😆 Such smooth footwork
whoever said that the gap is getting closer, was actually right. This group has increased the excitement for the whole tournament and hope the matches would be this close. also, does anybody knows why Apex moon isnt participating?
The gap is definitely getting closer. There's also a lot more Quads now so more teams are getting experience and Quad-time. The next US Championship is going to be crazy!!
Ky for the first timer was impressive. Apex sun didn't voltz through the group stages like they wanted(no pun intended) but proved they are the team to beat. Tempest had the last match yet experience proved to be the difference maker.
This might just be more than looks! And by might I really mean: " This insane KYd Huntered the Bear life out of those Apex cats, Unrheal stuff!" *Cue sounds of having a meltdown*
the final tag in the Tempest SoFlo match is the most unexpected thing I've ever seen in the actual years of watching this sport.....what the actual fuck lmao
I think im the only one who loves Chase tag, and KY Baldwin's music so consider me insanely surprised to hear he does chase tag as well! His music videa "dear Mom" is awesome and ti see that he's a fantastic chase tag athlete is insane!
Tempest was good but man they relied too heavily on Ky and Hunter and that bit them in the end. That being said, Tempest made it WAY closer than i would have expected.
First of all, why did APEX Moon didn’t decide to participate in this tournament? Second of all, are Amy from Kunoichi and Ky from Tempest are siblings?
@@WorldChaseTag Oh I was gonna say it is weird that APEX Moon missed out a tournament. Also, the Baldwin siblings are rocking the quad. Proud of the Aussies
*Best prospect:* Ky Baldwin, the kid is insane! *Most memorable:* Joe Unruh's SD decider in the first match 😳 *Funniest moment:* when Vance grabbed Michaela's leg as a tag and lifted it 😁
Ky absolutely tremendous, perhaps a bit overstretched, but my play of the group stage has got to go to that ballistic spike from the missile man that got Tempest the first win.
I can't wait to see the Brazilian team come back and kick ass. It hurts to see a team trail so much, but you know it's just the nature of the sport: can't get good at something that didn't have rules until recently.
This would be a lot easier to watch if you weren't always cutting to opposite angles all the time... either split screen it or move a camera on wires like they do in football.
You don't want the best teams meeting early and knocking each other out. So you guess how well they'll do, based on previous performance, and assign them numbers (seed 1, seed 2, seed 3), and then ensure that the low numbers are as separate as possible. The first and second seed should not be in the same group. Seeds 1 to 4 will be distributed in groups A,B,C,D.
So is this new or just more of some old stuff... you guys really need to label things better, because the way you've been uploading things and messing around with videos, then everything was on YT, then you could only watch some episodes on the website and these videos... WCT6.. I don't know whether that is new or not.

55:00 this dude on tempest threw. Why would you run toward ur opponent? Like seriously? Tempest had that game. Edit: GG anyways tempest y'all will get them next time👍
Damian fooled me good! I thought he was jumping into the cube. It was still a stupid move from me to cut in and not just go under the sisters but here we are.
Couldn't disregard Joey's opinion on the matter even if wanted to, and it wouldn't seem wise to want to)) Great match! Easily worthy to be a final, or at least a semi (fingers crossed) But, while I understand wanting to beat Apex 3-handed, I can't but doubt that decision on a strategic level. Shaun at the very least could've been allowed to help the main guns to preserve some of that powder.
