Although I dont have the Gold card anymore I still think its a good card. A lot of the RU-vidrs say they dont like it for views. Like I say, if credits make or brake a card for a person, that card most likely isnt for them
I like the AMEX Gold💪 but is targeted for high spenders on those 4x categories. I have a family of 4 and we eat a lot 😂 I open too many cards every year for intro offers and that affects my Gold card spend. Can’t wait to see you again during the PR🇵🇷 meet up🫵
@@CesarJoel That is a great point 🎯 Yes, opening other cards can totally impact my spend on the Gold. I’m so excited about the PR meet up, I can’t wait 💃🏽
Hey, great video. I actually just renewed my gold card a couple of days ago. I only had to pay $250 which was a great selling point but I recently went over my budget and realized I get a lot of value from this card. I was even considering using my custom cash for groceries and premier for dining but the gold card came out on top. So for now, it’s here to stay. Also, I use the gold card primarily when I’m at home but when I’m traveling I use either my savor one or citi premier. This way almost every card in my portfolio gets used on a regular basis, and I have 21 cards.
That is great that you still got the $250 💃🏽 Oh wow, 21 credit cards…that is great you are able to get spend on all of the cards. This way you can maximize earning the points 😊
Great video Tasha. I have high spend, but I decided to stick with the savor one. Amex keep increasing fees, and the coupons are not worth it on the revamp.
Girl, I will be closing mines once my annual fee post on Sept 25 even if i will be paying $250 because it's before Oct 1. I'm currently working on my Ink Cash bonus for the next 6 months , so it does not make sense keeping the GOLD. Plus i'm tired of the coupon book and headache of the GOLD and the GOLd promoting bad eating Dunkin' Donuts and five guys.
lol, Neno 🤣 Right those credit 😡 what kind of market research did Amex do to think Dunkin’ Donuts and 5 Guys would be good. Great that you have the Ink cash 😊
For me the refresh has made the card even better. I spend a ton on food for my family. It all goes on the Gold card. I also buy alot of my dog food from our neighborhood market walmart which codes as grocery. I like to get some Dunkins coffee once a month after i get a haircut. I periodically get 5 guys even before it was added to the dining credit. Last weekend i took my wife to her favorite turkish restaurant & guess what? It triggered the Resy credit! 😮 So for now, its staying in my wallet 😉
I like the refresh in the sense we can get more value out of it but at the same time more hassle to use all the credits 😂 it’s a love hate relationship for sure
Look I been on credit and everyone just gotta be smart I’m sitting on almost 800 score just gotta make on time payments and pay it off but don’t use debt it wouldn’t help out your credit score
I dislike the annual fee hike… but because I do eat out a lot and everyday, I still leaving this card open… Also myself living in Baltimore, I’m able to use the credits easy especially going to Dunkin’ everyday… I too currently has 14 credit cards… my next plan is to close my Amex Green card next year and open Chase Sapphire Reserve in place and open a Chase Freedom Flex… Now Between Bilt Card, Savor One Card, and Amex Gold… Every three months from 1st to 15th I’ll either use Bilt or Savor One Card and every month from 16th to the end, I use my Amex Gold and this is all for Dining and Grocery purchases…
Hey Ike, did you get Clear with your Green card? You think that Savor One can replace the Gold card? Man, I don’t know about that reserve with the Annual Fee 🤑🫣 I really like the Gold for the 4X points but I don’t know that will hold me for year three. Possibly if I consider closing some of the annual fees might feel different 😊
@@MAJORCHANGEGROUP Well, I’ve already gotten the Clear Membership via the Platinum Card… If i was tight on budget, generally the Savor One could replace the Gold Card… But, I highly value Amex ecosystem over Capital One’s system due to the fact Amex has better transfer partners… The only reason I’m going for the CSR next year in July is to assure myself to get a high limit credit card and finally have access to Southwest since they’re based out of BWI… but in year two, it would highly depend on how much I travel to either keep the CSR or downgrade to the CSP…
I never will buy it unless I’m rich but I’m grinding with 0 fees every month it’s better to have it that way then paying 250$ it’s not worth it because of the name
I think my wife and I are behind the times we have never had a credit or debit card we will purchase visa gift cards from time to time. But if you think about it let me know if Iam wrong you can’t build your way to wealth with credit cards or points. It’s almost like being in the cycle of spending that never stops. I think that the higher your credit score is it opens up more doors for people to be into more debt. Like this young lady’s content good information but overall I believe that the ultimate goal is to be debt free
Hi there, that’s a great point. I don’t think is is behind the times. Overall, have to do what’s beneficial you. For myself I pay off my cards every month so I’m not paying interest 😊
@@MAJORCHANGEGROUP thank you for your kind words you really have good content but it sounds like you use your cards with a watchful eye. May God continue to watch over you and your family
It has always been a POS card. Why would I pay $325 a year for 4% cash back when I could get the same thing with US Bank Altitude Go with no annual fee?
Hi there, not sure about the Altitude but you are right about the 4X points. It is not strong enough to hold me for that. I will look into that Altitude card 😊
- nah its a strong card for those with high spend. Also its not simply 4% cashback. If used for travel that 4x easily becomes 6x or even 8x if you know what you’re doing. Its not for cashback people or low spenders.
