I appreciate that they feel like real people. They’re both still the character types and song the roof off the place, but they feel a lot more grounded and I love it:
I love Seymour and Audrey’s story. Seymour thinks Audrey is too beautiful and kind for a loser like him. Audrey thinks she cannot attract a nice guy like Seymour. Audrey’s awakening is spectacular.
A couple of weeks ago, I actually was in NYC, and saw this production. It literary changed me! Lena Hall is literary my favorite stage actress after I saw this show! Unbelievable and tear jerking!
