Rest in Peace Sue Johnson... she passed June 28th 2023. She was a quick wit doing important work and charming as all get out. She'll be missed, but live on here. Thanks Coco!
Sue helped me (and I'm sure many others) get over the toxic Catholic guilt associated with anything sexual. Great sense of humor she had. R.I.P. & thank you ✨
Saw her at Northern College Timmins and would listen to her show on Q107 back in the 90's. She should be getting awards soon. Without her i dont know where i'd be right now. Thank You. Sue.
Man I loved her show. One of the first real shows that treated lgbt people just like everyone else calling in. She just wanted to educate and make sex fun. One hell of a lady.
Oh my god. That entire episode is my favorite. Tom Selleck kills his old mustache and spends the rest of the episode on the couch with his head in his hands. 😂
RIP Sue, I will never forget sneaking downstairs to watch your show in the 90's after mom and dad went to bed. I was probably only 12 but what Canadian kid didn't before the internet was available.
As an American its weird to me. Guess it goes back to the 1st settlers here being puritans. Then (not to make it political just stating facts) you have the conservative "Christians" /pearl clutchers (some that are just hypocrites that get caught in hotel rooms with hookers and things like that) here with their rating system for movies & "Explicit Lyrics" stickers on tapes & CDs they pushed for in the 80s. They tried to get certain groups/bands/albums banned and had police at their concerts to arrest them if they performed certain songs. It was also a Christian conservative womens group that started pushing for alcohol prohibition in the first half of the 1900s, back before that dancing was a sin Smh. They came up with zoning laws where alcohol cant be sold within so many feet of a church or school. Liquor cant be sold on Sundays & beer stores cant open until noon on Sundays. Yada yada yada. They're just big party poopers that want to suck the fun out of the world lol
@@kristiskinner8542 I know about the prohibtion days and don't forget the stuff where people considered Elvis's dances to be disgusting. I love the story and video's of people wanting to ban metal and other "devils" music and Dee Snyder demolishing them. What's even better is how he dressed making everyone think he was going to make a foold of himself. Instead he made fools out of them lol
I love that people in the comment section are like "omg, she's a grandma!"... yes, how do you think your grandparents made your parents? It's not like they're innocent virgins.
Thank you for all your great advice.R.I.P my dear. You taught me so much more than my own mother❤ but in all fairness to my mom that's the way it was in the 60s
I found it a bit disrespectful that some of the audience made disgusted sounds while she was talking. It speaks volume of how sexuality for older people is viewed.
I hope Sue knew how positively effective she was to so many of us LGBT folks coming of age in the 80s amid the AIDS epidemic. She was straightforward, funny, and never judgmental. ❤❤❤
