everyone's calling her out for being offensive...was I watching the wrong thing? was it a different part of the show? i'm not saying it was the best performance. jokes were kind of a hit and miss (some funny, others not) She could've done better, some parts were a bit lame (no laughs from audience that would've been awkward) but I did not find this offensive (I mean no harm to others, if you did then that's your opinion) or maybe its hard to see a celeb you like any differently than you've seen them previously. xx

I think people should go back and watch how Sue interacted with Selasi on the show and they will see she is just as much a hypocrite about objectification and shit as all the other feminists.

Ouch. I love to watch Sue - other performances she's done have been hilarious, and her forays into innuendo are epic. This was utterly PAINFUL to watch.

There is always a risk in trying to make a serious point with a joke. Jokes are, by their nature, not serious. So these cross purposes will almost surely kill a joke. So, fine, if you're a feminist or any other kind of SJW, you may want to try to slip in a poignant idea or whatever. But when almost EVERY JOKE is like this... she had to know this night was going to be a failure. She's a professional comic. How would she not be familiar with this simple equation? It's possible that she knew this but just couldn't come up with better material. But in that case, recruit other comics! I can only presume that feminism has distorted her perspective so much, that she genuinely thought this would go over well. Shame.

Each and every person in that room deserves a BAFTA for pretending to find these jokes funny...

you're always going to get some hard-line feminism on the end of the skewer with Sue Perkins, if it makes you uncomfortable, you're part of the problem. and it is a very big problem that women are still treated like second class citizens, paid less for equal work, inequality in lending and business, daily harassment, constant critique, things will change.
