Suffolk day trip from Lowestoft to Shingle Street #trip #suffolk #bridge #wildlife #prison #beach
Welcome back to my channel .
Today’s video starts in Lowestoft at the newly restored victorian Jubilee Bridge. The bridge goes across the ravine and links up to Bellevue Park.
After here I went to the docks in Lowestoft, where I saw an unusual tent and the border force ship protector. After here we began our journey to Hollesley Bay marshes, which is right beside the prison. In fact, we took the wrong turning and ended up in the grounds of the prison. We eventually found the right track that took us to the car park for the RSPB marshes. I here I saw numerous geese, kestrel and fallow deer. The café is within the prison grounds, and it is run by the prisoners themselves, who do an excellent job. Next it was onto shingle Street, an isolated village, which has a Martello tower. The beach is shingle, and the properties sit directly on the beach. On the way back to Norfolk, I passed BT Martlesham Heath and the most beautiful double rainbow. It’s colours were incredibly vibrant.
