Dear Abu, i know what you are talking about. I grew up in a sufismn environment. My mom is a strong follower of tarekat naqsyanbandy. Theres so much deviation in their teaching. I had a hell of a time arguing, got scolded from my mom bcos i often tell her i believe in only Quran and Sunnah. Nothing else.she refused to acknowledge until today. Its vry sad. Well Kashmiri culture was heavily influenced by Sufism... Now it is declining... Youth are coming towards what salafs taught what is authentic.... Most recently these peers are being caught for sex scandals or manipulating people.
The corrupt culture from sufism and Shia has caused too much damage and is too vast in communities where I live... Getting people out of it feels like and impossibility. Growing up I watched these tabliq jamaats literally force and guilt trip people into leaving their families... And much more bidahs to the point that if u now speak up they will go crazy get extremely angry at you...even get violent May ALLAH guide all of us and eliminate bidah and don't make us losers and our efforts wasted
There was a sister I was interested in marrying from Beeston who may Allah bless her was a 11 / 10 - However, when she told me she was a Naqshabandi Sufi, that 11 went into the negatives. May Allah bestow upon us all Adherence to the Truth.
