Seesaw for example, in the surface it seems like a random love song of BTS about break-up. But pay attention to the lyrics 5:21 Suga's actually writing their experiences as a group, back on 2018, BTS wanted to quit in the peak of their career, all of them were already tired and wanted to disband but no one has the guts to say it. Cause just like the lyrics said, "no one wants to be the bad guy" cause they still deeply love each other and they don't want to hurt each other's feelings, so in the end they just keep dragging it out. But pay attention to the lyrics again in Seesaw's bridge were Suga sings: "If we didn't care about each other, if we didn't have feelings for each other, would we have drag it out like this"? " If you don't have feelings anymore, then this seesaw is dangerous " Which means one of them manage to say that he wants to leave the seesaw (the relationship of BTS) hence the "break-up".

Watch Outro:Tear live performance again & pay attention to the lyrics. And try to understand the bars logically. You'll begin to understand Tear is actually written for the members. In the song RM admitted he wanted to quit BTS, not because he doesn't like to continue being with BTS anymore, but because he indeed wants to continue being with BTS forever but that's just not possible. Cause all bands has an end So if that's the case, he thought why not just quit now when they still can? Cause the longer they stay together, the harder for them to let go. Suga's response is in his bars. But J-hope's bar is the resolution. "Wishing I wouldn't have cried, wishing I wouldn't be torn, I can't say those words in the future" "I too have terminal illness of parting" "You're my beginning & my end, my everything" "Moving forward ⏩ FEAR will be repeated caused by you" (Meaning they accepted that even if they don't disband now, they'd still cry (Tear) & be torn (Tear) apart in the future cause eventually they will still need to face their greatest (Fear)which is disbandment.) So yeah, the chorus makes a lot of sense You're my tear 😢 You're my tear 💔 You're my fear Which is why Tear, Seesaw and House of Cards are my fav.

Another back story, Suga once revealed he literally thought BTS is gonna disband during 2015, because they have such low budget & most of their stuff aren't really going well. So he thought HYYH is probably BTS last album, so if you pay close inspection most of the songs there ("seems" to be love songs about longing for something you can't reach like butterfly, hold me tight, Whalien52, young forever, or it's about - about to break up songs like Autumn leaves and House of Cards. You've already heard of House of Cards. If you pay attention to the lyrics it seems about a relationship as fragile as the house of cards, that's bound to break apart at any given moment, but the people inside still foolishly want to stay.
This is still my favorite Suga solo. It gets overlooked now after his last 2 solo albums came out but this song and Shadow are still my favorites. The use of a seesaw as a metaphor for an unbalanced relationship is so genius.
I’m a hard OT7 and I’m not detracting from any of the other members… But, Yoongi is a musician’s musician, a producer’s producer, and a lyricist’s lyricist. Nobody can tell me he’s not a musical genius. He’s exceptional.
You don't have to be "deep in it" to be ARMY - it's your love and enthusiasm for their music and their individual as well as group personalities that makes you ARMY, so just accept it 😉. Agust D/Suga is my favorite artist ever in 62 years, his lyrics and music choices are unbelievably beautiful, his love for his craft and his fans blows me away. I guess ARMY would call him my ultimate `Bias' even though I adore all 7 members, Yoongi moves me to tears on the regular. His words have a way of reaching into my chest and squeezing my heart, it's quite visceral. His compositions are always pulling on my emotions. Seesaw was one of my early favorites and a day does not go by where I am not listening to Amygdala or Snooze or Stay Alive (sung by JK) on repeat. I am having 'Da gwaenchanajil geoya' (Everything's gonna be ok) from Snooze tattooed on my left forearm this Saturday, as that has helped me through some rough shit. Yoongi is the best in every way for me, no dis to RM and our guy J-Hope, love them both dearly. Thanks for all your hard work, writing and performing music and reviewing it, the world needs more of you.
You need to check out one of his live performances of this from his D-Day tour. He did an acoustic version and played the guitar himself. :) When I became ARMY, I LOVED Seesaw and never thought I'd get to see it live. It was such a beautiful rendition.
Suga's acoustic of this song at his D-Day concert inspired me to continue with my guitar lessons, the slower melody was beautiful. His reaction when his guitar string broke while tuning was adorable 🥰
Fun fact: Suga wrote this song thinking it would be a song the members would all perform... yet, he felt it was not the right vibe for the rhe group and since he liked the song, he felt if it probably would sound better being a solo sing, he just decided to be on the track by himself.... I love how Suga is so unafraid to try different generes and getting out of his comfort. That's why I believe he is sooo sure as a producer. Also, just another interesting note. Sugas new album is FIRE!! I Feel it has so many rock influences. Not just that, alot of guitar and other interesting other instruments that he used. Such a interesting choice yet so willing to portray his musical talents. Hence his Daewitchita with the Korean drum beats now his other song, Haguem with Korean strings... but my favorite ultimately is his new album that has so many guitar, rock influences. Let's not forget the ling, black natural hair. Sooo sexy!!!❤💜💜💜
If you liked this, and you liked Yoongi playing piano, he also played an acoustic version of this during the tour, with his guitar that was signed by all the members :-) There are also a couple of VLives/Weverse Lives of him playing the guitar and singing in his studio. I think, more than just the bench slide thing, ARMY was worked up because they weren’t expecting his solo song for this to sound cute and poppy and have a lil dance and him being cute on purpose, including the lil bench slide, had ARMY losing their minds. We love a soft SUGA.
It’s Army’s responsibility to make him feel confident :) he helped so much to all of us through all his solo work and as a BTS member.. (he used to have anxiety to perform on stage)

Loving your track in today’s video! I love it when you mentioned that the music feels so much more personal and deeper when the rap is over a striped instrument/ instrumental with not much going on - and i’ve always felt this while listening to “First Love” and “Seesaw” but I never knew how to put it into words. Its how those music have always made me feel emotionally and its so beautiful.
That is one of my many fave of Suga's song and his performance .f you haven't reacted his trilogy songs please react his DAECHWITA, HAEGEUM & AMYGDALA . Those are one of his many masterpiece.Suga is my ultimate bias since the beginning i know BTS until forever. I know all the members are special and genuine but to me, nothing can be very genuine and so unique in the group than Yoongi. I love how brutally honest he is and doesnt really beating around the bush. When i just started knowing him 4 years ago, i heard some people say he is cold & rude because he is not like other members who really appeared so plauful warm and very greetful especially in the airport but i found out of digging and studying his behaviour thru their many videos and his many creation music through the years that it is really so far from the truth. He is a kind of person that " action speaks louder than words" type. Since he is a man of few words. He is very sensitive and very accomodafing to others needs especially to his BTS brothers. Best example is he created Suchwita show ( which he is hosting) mainly so his all brothers in BTS has their own exclusive show to promote their own solo single project ( Suga's Suchwita show became very succrssful and he he is interviewing different celebrities). Another example also when i watched that video of him with JK just them alone he brought JK( JK was so young then) to a mobile home somewhere so he can concentrate practicing his vocal and accompanying him there and encouraged him giving JK a thumbs up then leave him inside in the moble home so he can really concentrate of practicing and Suga just sit and waited outside while rain was pouring, that was very very so sweet of him🥰. When he was asked why he walk so fast in the airport and not even stopping by for fans, i admired his answer by saying ---- airport is a public and not a private place and many people from all over the world rushing catching their flights, i dont want to stop for the fans there that will cause traffic and obstruction or maybe a chaos that will hurt anyone. Those are just few examples of many good and unique character traits of Yoongi but im telling you , the more you know Yoongi , tge more you like and love him more! Music wise, Suga to me definitely a very authentic artist.His truly an advocate in mental health and other serious issues not afraid nor embarrased of unmasking himself. His lyrics are powerful and gives people comfort. He is actually a very open minded and the warmest person of all the artist i know in my opinion. His talent --music producing ,unique and delivering rapping style and the words he say, the stage present and the confident , those are some of his many amazing talents that makes him my very favorite artist but also the whole package of him that made him a very good person. I love him and beyond and I cannot wait for his return( and the rest of his BTS brothers) in 2025. I miss my Yoongi baby 🥰 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜. Thank you very much for Noticing him and for admiring him. My bias is Jimin, but Suga came for me hard this past year. I was lucky enough to see him in concert and he LOVES performing and is amazing at it. He held that whole arena in the palm of his hand for the entire show, which is seriously impressive. As others have recommended, his acoustic version from the tour is wonderful - honestly my favorite version. It just works. I didn’t get to see the acoustic version everyone else did since his string snapped at my performance. It was early in the tour, they didn’t have his backup easily available, so he played on the guitarist’s. Stage tech me was amused - you know it will never happen again. Lol
One thing I've noticed about Min Yoongi is that he really loves to perform and create art. He comes alive; whether rapping, singing, acting, producing or interviewing - It's in his DNA. He is top tier and I have so much respect and admiration for the man, and I feel blessed every time I watch or listen to him perform.
Unpopular opinion maybe but i prefer the acoustic version he did for his solo tour last year. So beautiful. But both performances are genius. Suga could never do anything that doesnt impress
The reason for Army's screams may be that this sliding movement usually causes him problems, sometimes because the pants do not slide enough and other times because they slide too much and he loses his balance, without stopping singing of course. This time nothing happened and Army was happy😂😂
This is my favorite SUGA songs of all time. His music is genius but I actually learned the Korean lyrics to sing along. It makes me beyond happy to see so many people who appreciate Min Yoongi.
Well shit....your music at the end was really good. And seesaw is such a great concept to talk about a rocky relationship that needs to meet it's end. I love that BTS takes a keyword and lets the group members take it wherever they see fit. RM talked about his approach to the "seesaw" keyword and how he interpreted it for if he had to do the song. He was going to go with a play on words for "see" vs "saw" and dig into the lyrics playing on the concept from that perspective. It just shows that one song name could give us 7 potentially different versions of a song. I loved Suga's take on it so much though. It fit him well.
I love that you have a violinist in your band. So unique. Suga's solo tour is just phenomenal, you'll have to watch it some time. There are so many reasons why I love it, but one of them is how it evolves over the course of the tour. If you watch the very first concert in New York and the very last one in Seoul, there are extra little things in the last one, like fanchants, one started by Thai ARMY, another by Indonesian ARMY that continued in subsequent countries. I think that confidence partly comes from all the practice that they do. For his 28-show tour, Suga did 20 full rehearsals where he and the band went through the setlist just like they would in a real concert.
People probably mentioned already but you NEED to hear 'First Love'. Especially since you didn't know that Suga plays the piano. That song makes me cry everytime, I can't even listen to it anymore. The thing is, you know a song is a masterpiece when it can make a listener who might not even relate to it at all still cry their eyes out.

I kinda slept on Suga/Agust D until D-Day came out. I can listen to that album on repeat. It’s such an emotional ride. Beautiful. Genius. 💜 Glad you ended with just one ghost. I think it’s my favorite City of Sound song. At least for now. 😊

I use to say my utt is Sope. My first is Hobi but I love Suga so much (and all The others, of course). You should watch, Just for fun, "Otsukare"... it's a sope thing. And, you'll love tô watch "Sucwhita", a show where Suga talks tô other arstists, including his fellow BTS.

I also listened through to your song "but one ghost" and liked this very much too and the violin was lovely. I'm attuned to this instrument I guess as my husband is a violinist so I generally hear him practising at least 2 to 3 hours a day.
