Who feels it knows it. Sugar Minott was one of the most versatile artists and it was always a great spiritual experience to see him perform. My brother and I met him the very first time we saw him, in Toronto. He was a humble and positive man who greeted us, strangers, with joy.
Artist from that era when they do a live performance they sound the same as if you were listening to their record, the artist nowadays live performances is nothing close they can't sing their whole song in one take they have to pull up by the time they sing half the song. Sugar mimott was a great astist never got the recognition he deserved
This is my first time seeing him in person. What a pleasure. I have been a fan for many yrs. Since I discovered reggae in college during the 70s. Absolutly love reggae from this era and on. Sad to just found out that he had passed. RIHP
Quality simple vocals outstanding No matter what to me this a sign of a Real veteran artist . With the ability too sing almost anything and make it One away original style. In my opinion anyway. Not everyone can be so versatile.
One of the great live performances by one of JA's greatest ever live performers (and we are blessed with quite a few!). Such a shame he is gone. Is there a reggae heaven where we will be able to rock to Bob M, Gregory, Alton, Sugar and the others who have gone before?
I went on top of the pops he was there singing I was able to meet him i loved his music singing he asked me out on a date could not believe I thought why me i did not take up his offer I don't go out with some one because they are singers just because they are in a band it does not devine the person as they are rest in peace suger minott
pure raw talent poured out his soul like water from a mountain stream. He wrote music that came from so many unique angles and I sometimes tear up thinking that there will never be another Sugar Minott
feel like cryin watchin this. how a man i never met can make feel so sad that he's gone proves that his music touches peoples hearts. he will live on through his music cos it's timeless.
rest in peace. this is reggae music. music that touch the soul and heart. sugar is one great idol to the youths. only if we got more positive singers like him. a great talent.
For all who were there, i would think that he performed more songs for his set than just this one. A unique voice alongside a sixties fedora hat, Symbolic, RIP
The drummer was all over the place but never off beat. In the fuckin' pocket, even while standing up! I love this clip. I'd love to see Sugar's entire set! Bless Up! RIP!!!
Nuff Respek!!!! Big Big Suga!!!!! I swear ... next to Bob at the Rainbow, this is the best live performance I've seen. Me love Unu, Daddy Suga!!!! He killed it.... Nuff Style! R.I.P.
Wau Sugar, you got nuff style to make up for all the rest that don't!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that we can share in that most beautiful moments on a Jamaican morning made so special by you and your crew!
This is why I say Barrington Levy have one of the most unique voices in Music. He has shades of monotone in his voice but it still comes out crisp Respect
