This guy has the perfect clown voice. Calm, oddly dignified, and it makes him way less terrifying than he could be. EDIT: An additional point. I think one thing that helps is that it's VERY easy to know where the makeup on his mouth stops and where his real mouth begins. It doesn't look like he has a giant hellmaw of a face, he's just some bloke.
I agree clowns are just entertaining not scary when I see one I just need to remind myself under that face paint there's a real human being that probably feels some empathy
This commercial is so primitive. It's interesting to watch in the sense that commercials even today are more subtle. This commercial didnt even have music or anything else to draw attention, just a guy talking. The way he spoke was interesting too, it was all but begging you to buy it.
And instead of advertising that it has nutrients (like “part of this complete breakfast” or “contains essential vitamins and minerals”) it just says honey and sugar make it taste great.
Sounds a lot like Mr. Hand from Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Ray Walston)... I wonder if it is him! He was born in 1914, this is from 1956. He'd be about 42 here. Listen to his voice when the tone drops at around 40 seconds in.
If krinkles was with you he would say what do you think? And you say: it is good! Krinkles:haha! I am proud to hear that But actually he does not exist anymore..m.
0:24 “so krinkly, so delicious, so different!” somehow that’s just so cute to me, lol. maybe it’s because this was made before clowns got seen as mostly scary. he does look a little creepy, but he seems like he’s actually a nice clown.
When I was a child, every time we went on a holiday, my parents would leave me and my sister at the hotel daycare while they go shopping/ meet friends. The daycare had a clown named Koko who entertained and played with us. Our parents always picked us up the latest, so koko would stay longer just so we won’t get lonely. Because of that, we can’t seem to find any clown scary. I’m glad to see so many others here who also find clowns to be charming.
No idea how but i could watch this add over and over and not get bored of it. the way he walks to the table to eat breakfast is so charming, kinda sad how clowns are seen as scary nowadays.
This later became Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles, which had Fred Flintstone and his friend Barney as mascots. So, that means he's in the same canon as The Flintstones.
This is one of the most heartwarming and wholesome commercials I've ever seen. Krinkles seems like such a great clown with a happy personality and a heart of gold. I hope he's living a happy life wherever he's at now.
+chewbaccasatan he did not say that at all, a clown would never crave blood...well except laughing jack, but that not the issue, he's not made to be evil.
+Jessica Collins Evil was made because of HIM. He is the heart and soul of all evil men produce on this god forsaken earth. He is the motive of moral crime. He is the reason murder, torture, rape and terrorism happens. He looks upon us from space with a smile possessing the minds of man when there is an advantage to kill and get away with no justice. He stalks society and waits to endure as much pain as possible on an individual. He stares boldly at the constructions men have built and curses a great flame to decimate it and its surroundings. He had one chance as man to do damage, now a lost demon that escaped his body and glares into our world from above. He stares with a long smile with the hysteric thoughts of one breath, that's all he needs to be a god of destruction. In the mean time, he telepathically possesses the common mans thoughts to do wrong. I see him when I dream of sugary coated crisp crinkles, and he responds with his future vengeance upon us.
I love clowns. I hope someday the "creepy clown" trend fades away and they can get back to being fun like this. I really enjoy the way he pronounces things
German Hockey It’s most likely because some individuals don’t find clowns very appealing or normal? Humans tend to think that different things are distasteful because they’re not as pleasant as what is perceived as ‘normal’. But I also agree, this guy is really adorable.
It’s because when humans try and connect with another entity they look for body language, movements and expressions. When we can’t see it the mind is confused and is scared. You then have a sense of fear because of unknown, if you can’t tell what their move is, if it’s going to be friendly or hostile you instinct will tell you not to trust it because it has deceiving expressions. You’re not really scared it’s just that your mind is confused and can’t tell either it’s friendly or not which, primal instincts tell to stay away since it could be a threat to you. So your not scared just confused.
imagine at the end: Clown: any questions kids?! Little Boy: Do the Rice Krinkles float in milk? Clown:.....oh yeeeessss....they float....they floooooat....
Now I love eating human souls, but I also eat people! So the best cereal for me is made out of 100% *genuine* children's teeth! It's so *crunchy* *I* *CAN'T* *STOP* *EATING* *IT*!
Yeah well he had a line right afterhe "ate" it. We're there cereal on the spoon, he would spray cereal out of his mouth or have to sit there chewing it before the line.
I remember showing this to my middle school English teacher and it scared people and now it’s so wholesome. Also he said he krinkles every time he sees this commercial and he thought they would cut to a tied up girl taking the cereal! 😂😂😂
