Hi Rachel. Nice tutorial here. I want to make this design for my next wedding cake project and it's going to be a five tier altogether. (12", 9"*3, 6"). How you think it's attainable? And did you apply glue to the fondant or the sugar sheet to attach the design. Also what can I use in place of edible glue, as it is very expensive here in Zambia. Happy 2023 from Zambian
Hi there, I hope your having a great start to the New Year, to answer a few questions firstly as long as the cakes are an even size and 4 inches deep then the pattern will fit (your measurements do need to be perfect though) For homemade edible glue mix a small amount of Tylo powder with some cooled down boiled water. I would also recommend practicing on a rolled out piece of fondant first, if you have never done this before it's best to practice so you don't make any mistakes when your under pressure to get the wedding cake completed. I hope that information helps, warmest wishes Rachels enchanting cakes
It would be very difficult but possible, your buttercreamed cake would need to be refrigerated after each sheet was applied and you would need to work fast as to prevent damaging the smooth buttercream surface x
Rachel, Can I use this video and add it to my list of techniques for my bakers at heartofbaking.com? Please. I can be reached at weloveheartofbaking.com.
