Both pedals are fantastic! The reloaded gives you more flexibility and much higher gain. The original riot seems to sound a little clearer and not as muddy as the reloaded. But again, that is probably due to the extra gain. You can't go wrong either way!

I liked the original more...i can get it to sound close to the reloaded. I use a dark amp and the original just opens it up . And I love using it on low gain as well. Just a great pedal. Plus it's totally a different beast on 18v. The fizzines goes away and you get clearer distortion.

I prefer the original. More natural. Some settings on the reloaded sounded too grainy for my liking.

I had both and sold the reloaded because it sounded too compressed to me. They both sound good - but different depending what amp you play.

your 100% percent right on the amp thing on my jtm 45 its great on my fender its to fluby in the bass it depends on the amp although there is no miids on my fender so a eq pedal would fix that

Prefer the Riot Reloaded; just warmer, more amp-like and more harmonically enriched.

I liked your comparison. You started out with the pedals set to have an equivalent sound, and it was obvious to me that the Riot Reloaded has a significant boost in the lower frequencies. I just bought the Riot, but I got a great deal, so I am disappointed. I do think I prefer the EQ structure of the Riot Reloaded based on this video, though.

Don't like none of the two. I am disappointed. I believed the reloaded sounded good, but... terrible. I have a JHS Andy Timmons and till now no pedal is better than this. I am glad to have found this great pedal, but i'm looking for other ODs, just for fun and try something new.

Im glad you did the video but the comparison wasnt very accurate because you compared the pedals at different settings from eachother. You would have the tone at 2 o clock on the riot and then switch to the reloaded with the tone at 10 o clock. Both sound great though.
