This is the studio cut. Ayer the director had a much different ending along other differences which had no evil brother and had the joker a lot more in the movie and was part of the ending. Diablo the border brother who killed his own family did not die in the movie.hopefully we get to see the Ayer Cut some day.
Love seeing the bad guys fighting the evil in the world. I actually enjoyed all the DCEU movies which includes all the Suicide Squad films both Justice League films , both Shazam films , Birds of Prey and both Wonder Woman films , basically all of them . Would have loved this Harley in a film with the Gal Wonder Woman . Can't wait for the DCU though.
She wasn't a favorite for alot of people but I still didn't mind Cara delevingne's Enchantress performance in this. And of course Margot was great as Harley, but It's also annoying how too many people see Harley and Joker as a "power couple" instead of the toxic dynamic they are supposed to have.

I have never understood why people hate it so much to this day..i mean the brother of Enchantress is a bad villian and Joker should be in it more but apart from that i love everything about it...If you even enjoy it at all that would be dope!😊

This movie was...horrible! Hey let's have a huge climactic battle where they fight exploding mud-men! Plus anything with Jared Leto in it is pretty much doomed from the start. Meanwhile, the 2021 movie by James Gunn is everything you wanted it to be. Wildly entertaining and funny from start to finish. You know it's good when it has a Pixies song in it.
If you re-watch and pause when they are showing the written summary of Harley Queen's bio, you can read "accomplice in the murder of Robin". In this universe, Batman had his team mate, but he is already dead.
I don't hate the movie. I'm able to enjoy it for what it is. Here's how it breaks down for me. Love the first act. The second act was kinda normal action stuff. The third act is one of the worst third acts I've ever seen. Love Margot Robbie as Harley. Liked everyone else in their role. Can't stand Jared Leto's Joker. For me, it was terrible. I never wanted to see it again. But we don't always get what we wish for. lol But glad you guys like it. Like is always better than hate.
I like this movie, and I am glad you both enjoyed it too. Also, it's good to know you'll be watching the Snyder cut of Justice League next. And I can't wait to see Laura's reactions to Lord of the Rings!
I liked your reaction especially about the climax where the bomb was thrown and Deadshot used Harley's gun to shoot as it reaches the core in slow motion and dramatic music.
If you're building up to watching the Flash, don't forget Batman (1989), and I would do Batman Returns also because it's so cool. Superman (1978) is still out there too. lol
Love this movie so much and tecnically it's based of the comics with the same name. This was the first time I ever saw Margot in anything and I absoloutly love her as Harley Quin also OI like what they did with enchantress and all. The music is good here as well and ya didn't expect to see will smith here either when I first saw it in the theaters. Always loved Harley and enchantress so there is that. Nice reaction girls and glad you liked the movie.
Can't wait till you ladies get to The Suicide Squad, the 2nd movie by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy), which is SO MUCH BETTER! I don't really hate this movie, but the 2nd movie does a much better job than this movie! Having The Enchantress as the main villain wasn't a bad idea & the character was actually in the Suicide Squad 80's comic run, it's just the writing is uneven & with its PG-13 rating it feels restricted! Again, the 2nd movie is much better written, the chemistry between the characters is not only better but also funnier & with its rated-R rating there's no restrictions & it's more violent & bloody! 😜😉🙂
Enchantress belongs to the streets, cheating with the whole city 😂hilarious observation there, Magy. The start of the movie does a fantastic job introducing our anti-heroes and just how crazy all of them are, in very different ways. Deadshot's story really tugs at your heartstrings, he cares so much about his daughter and that gets used against him over and over again. On the other side, Harley's backstory is much darker, filled with red flags and one fantastic Joker portrayed by Jared Leto. The tattoos and metal-plated teeth are definitely an interesting choice but his mannerism, way of speaking, random cackling - this is what brings this version of Joker as close to the animated series and DC animated movies ones, which were undoubtedly some of the best. El Diablo's story, while it may seem very predictable at first, can easily surprise you with the amount of restraint he shows throughtout the movie and how, in the end, he gives everything for his new family. Dr. Moone/Enchantress' story is a bit predictable but the "love wins in the end" trope makes it better, showing us that the human was still in there somewhere even when Enchantress was in control and how Rick Flag was willing to do anything for her. Amanda Waller was an absolute beast from start to finish and Viola Davis was pretty much born to play the role. In every single scene, she just radiates that menacing aura of someone who has no qualms in doing the most despicable things for the greater good. Captain Boomerang is pretty much just comic relief, nothing much to say there, as we can see throughout the movie. Killer Croc was somewhat interesting, with the little dialogue he got throughout the movie. Confident in himself, his abilities and his beauty. Katana didn't get an awful lot of screentime but she did have a compelling backstory, with her husband's soul being trapped in the sword and, in cruel twist of fate, not dying by the sword so she can be reunited with him. You've pointed out nicely, Magy, how sweet it was of the squad to welcome Harley back, and the way in which they did it, after the escape attempt gone wrong. It was one of the essential scenes that showed us the movie is not just random jokes and action porn. Captain Boomerang made a wise observation about Harley, how she keeps poking everyone around her in the most unpleasant ways but her retort, how they should embrace what they are, criminals, followed by Killer Croc's remark made this scene really shine through, just for the message alone. The Enchantress showing them their dreams, their ideal world, in an attempt to control them and Diablo being the one to pull them out of it, it really gave the character depth. He knows there's nothing anyone can do to bring back his family and accepted that. Deadshot gettin to spend time with his kid and their creative way of learning geometry was heartwarming. The Joker coming back to break Harley out offered a satisfying end, as opposed to the apparent death of mister J earlier in the movie. Bruce telling Amanda to stop the Suicide Squad program or he and his friends will - that's a very cool reference to the Justice League. Your post-reaction talk was really nice listening to and it makes perfect sense to like this Joker in a different way than Phoenix's or Ledger's. They're all very different in their own way. I don't care what anyone says I love this movie when I saw the trailer I went ballistic coz I love Harley and Margot didn't strike me as Harley but when I watched it she stole the show however the humour was off birds of prey she nailed it then the suicide squad ruined it in my opinion suicide squad 2016 is better than the second the second in my opinion just copies the first with new characters won't spoil how but yeah

Suicide squad I personally enjoy this movie very much, one of my favorite characters in this movie is Harley Quinn, the actor played this character well and throughout the story she stays fun loving yet still bad@ss.💯

James Gunn's (Guardians of the Galaxy) "The Suicide Squad" (2021) really is quite an enjoyable film, that is a great watch. Biggest problem with this movie is joker. Joker doesn't care for Harley he leaves her for dead so many times even ties her up as the place burns down he would never ever come to rescue her
You two are hypocrites you forgot about those great movies in Nolan trilogy and how good is Batman and here in the Snyder verse you say about Batman that he's the worst and some bad descriptions.

I really like this movie; Deadshot, Harley Quinn and Amanda Waller steal the show. I enjoy the sleak mob boss Joker but let´s remember there is still a David Ayer´s Suicide Squad cut pending (a directors cut only if creepy James Gunn allows it). I enjoy this movie better than Gunn´s The Suicide Squad (dick, sex and trashy humour and a Groot wannabe) version.
People are really convincing themselves this is a good movie? I'm confused and worried about that. I would suggest the 2021 version, it's better but not by much.

I personally never understood the hate for this one, it really wasn't that bad. Could it have been better? Definitely. Even with the extended cut, Leto got heavily screwed by WB on this one.
I hate what they did with captain boomerang. In the comics and shows he's a lot cooler and great inventor. He does have a childish side but not near as much as in this movie. He's actually one of my favorite villains, especially cause he's part of the rouges
Well this cut it's not the real one. We have to wat until see the original movie of David Ayer. This cut and the theatrical cut was made by the studio. Nothing to do with what David intended and of course we saw nothing of Jared Leto's performance.

This is the only Joker I can believe runs a gang and they are all scared of him. Also strong enough to take on Batman. He's covered in facial scars and lost his front teeth because of a fight with Batman we never got to see.
i was always so confused by the failure of this movie, it had all the right ingredients , David Ayer directing( he doesnt disappoint , he made End of Watch, Training Day, Fury, Tax Collector, Street Kings and Bright) and this movie just for some reason did not fit David Ayer's style because you can always tell who a film is directed by if you know each film maker's style so this really did not feel like David Ayer in terms of story and pacing. BUT RECENTLY it all made sense, he came out and said that Just like Justice League his version of the film was meant to be just like Man of Steel , Dawn of Justice but Warner Bros ruined it and interfered with it too much, they deleted heavy scenes, they wanted it to be more shorter, more commercial and more comedic so thats why it ended up the way that it did. I'm just hoping that there's another version of his original film out there somewhere that he can release on HBO , maybe we can get an Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad like we did with Justice League
Idk, I'd argue Suicide Squad shares a lot of stylistic sensibilities with Ayer's most recent film, The Beekeeper. The difference is that Suicide Squad felt more overly edited and safe because of its multiple test screenings and executive medling. I still see David Ayer's directing flair throughout tho. It isn't like with Justice League 2017, where you could very clearly tell Snyder had little to no input whatsoever.
I'll add Aquaman and The Flash to that collection. Ik the latter gets a ton of shit for its CGI, but I loved the context & character growth it provided to Flash and also its attention to continuity.
God the DCEU is terrible first Zack Snyder then this what the hell was Warner Bros thinking when they made the DCEU? Were they like "Let's make the worst adaptation of the DC Universe to the point it makes people regret being a DC fan" because if that's what they were going for they succeeded why do reaction channels react to these films? DC has more projects to react to like Superman & Lois, the DCAU, and My Adventures With Superman why do people choose to react to the worst DC projects?
