Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay Film Review 

The fact that 1. Harley was only a minor character in the movie and 2. Batman, Joker or the extended Bat-family weren't at all involved was so refreshing. I was a bit apprehensive to even give this a chance at first because I thought both of those things would bog this movie down but thankfully, the writers of this one knew other characters exist and can be written well.

So head-exploding is fine but a boob needs a hedgehog. Yeah, our society is messed up.

Eh, I chalk up them not using Harley that much was simply because there wasn't much she could contribute. Think about Assault on Arkham, Harley actually served several purposes there as she knew the layout of the Asylum, had several codes they could use and even used her sex appeal as a distraction. In short, she had something to offer. Here, however, the whole thing is one big heist, retrieval mission, nothing more. Deadshot and Boomerang have their marksmanship, Tiger his Martial Arts, Frost her Ice Powers and Copperhead is an infiltration and assassination Specialist. Harley was crammed in because less people would watch it if she wasn't in it. Doesn't hurt the movie though. Also enjoyed this version of Copperhead. Really cool and even managed to go out like a pro.

Once again, DC rocks at animation and sucks at live action...

Dc has really good animated movies. Yet they suck when it comes to live action they suck.

They really fucked over Copperhead in this. I actually liked him in this too.

You can almost always count on the DCAU to do something amazing. I honestly don’t get why WB and DC don’t get these writers to do their live action movies.

I love this new Animated Suicide Squad film! It's now my most favorite New 52 Animated film! I honestly hope they make another one! :)

I was also positively surprised with the quality of this one. I saw it last night, and now i'm in a slight dilemma. Which S.Squad animated film is better this one (Hell to Pay) or Batman: Assault on Arkham, which is basically a first (on screen) debut of the S.Squad, with cameos from Batman & Joker

I have this strange feeling about this Movie. I feel like it was originally meant to be a plot for Young Justice. - getting the card and Vandal Savage's daughter Scandal Savage. Second, Two of Superboy's biggest villains actually more famous than he is. "Shark King" and "Knock-Out"

Scandal Savage uses "Lamentation Blades" are blades Scandal Savage uses in combat. They attach at the wrist and can easily be removed and concealed for later use.

I love this raw DC Version of the suicide squad line its so excited especially coming off of Game of Thrones leaving me kind a bloodthirsty but with the gritty and sexual nature at the core of the show the universe feels more alive, rawer, interesting, and exciting. Uncensored all the way for dramatic effect. The details that count

Assault on Arkham is another suicide Squad movie set in the Arkham universe u should go see it

I enjoyed this movie but it has it's flaws like Dr Fate (Oh god), I thought Silver Banshee would have a bigger role but she was just a cardboard thug working for Zoom, and Harley didn't do anything for me in this movie

Christian Slater also voices Deadshot in justice league action, and he was pretty good in that so it wasn't a surprise that he did a great job in the movie

I still think Matt Mercer is the best Deadshot

I very much agree with this video. As a fan of the team in the comics, this movie stuck to the themes of dark comedy and slight serious scenes every now and then. Christian Slater did a fantastic job with voicing Deadshot and his character design is much better than the one in Assault on Arkham. Bronze Tiger was a big surprise, I wasn't even expecting them to give him an important role yet he was an excellent addition to the team and one of the best parts of the movie. I'd say this is one of my favorite DC animated movies.

Why in DC animated films do characters like bronze tiger n knockout get fucked up/killed but characters like boomerang somehow can handle their own n never seem to die?..

DC may not be good at Live Action Movies, but their good at three things Animation,being Dark, and featuring forgotten Super heroes, and Villians giving a them equal treatment.

Zoom being in this movie doesnt make sense even though hes cool. Dude dedicates his life to ending Flash and would end his own life if it meant ending Flash, yet in this he decides he wants to go to Heaven.

It was a good film, but I thought that when speedsters died they became part of the speedforce. So, why would reverse flash/ Zoom (can't spell his real name) need the card in the first place if, when he dies, he'll just become one with the speedforce? 😕

I totally agree with Christian Slater as Deadshot. Don't agree he is the best (to me, that goes to Michael Rowe from Arrow), but definitely blew my expectations away and thought he did a great job

This was a pleasant surprise - it clearly not a kid film; it has a dark deep plot. It shows there can be a dark film that works.

I gotta admit this movie was actually really good which was surprising for me because my expectations were really low for this movie but damn it they got me this was really good.

They should really do more Batman Arkhamverse stuff. Also would it kill Dc to do a Injustice god among us animated series I mean the game is sooo popular and now we need a Injustice animated series.

I agree with you, this is a great movie and it is one of the best movies ever made to date, I haven’t even seen it yet, but it has some flaws, for example, Reverse Flash shouldn’t have been able to siphon off enough Speed Force energy to live on in Flashpoint, because he had a hole in his head before he did this.

Just watched this movie. I loved this movie. Also love Quentin Tartatino movies. Many related things. Well not the metahuman parts but human things in the movie. And the link to the Flashpoint. Nice link. I too agree. I felt too much unnecesarcy violence. Well to the guards that is. Overall great movie. Great dialogue. And one of the best I have seen for DC. And might rewatch it again. Great review of this film too.

Don´t quite get why the "nipple" scene is in the movie.....if you go out of your way to include something like this to get a higher rating at least make it a somewhat realistic looking nipple instead of a square....you want "controversy" than just go the full way
